I think it's b/c DJo were planned as endgame and that would be the payoff for all the crap they and us went through the entire show.

I liked both at points and as Jaime said DJ never got a fair chance to be together. why every fourth episode of season 2 they kept breaking them up. I'm going to rewatch but ugh. After he said I love you and all that.

I will always obviously love DJo and they had some of the most beautiful moments of the show. That's to me is one of the problems they were mostly only moments. It really is sad that the first time they say I love you to each other Joey is breaking up with Dawson too.  That was only first cruel blow the writers did even with KW still there. I loved when they finally got back together and danced to Feels Like Home.  I will add more later. __________________

I thought it was sad that they broke up when they said I love you also! How could it be Over? It was devastating

The only good thing about that scene was the acting.
I watched that part when they say I love you over and over even though it made me sad. Why did they have to break them up that soon? Dawson was such a good guy. Nobody is perfect but Joey really broke his heart over and over. I don't know if it was b/c KH/JJ broke up but they had like 2 scenes Season 2. __________________

I love both couples! They were both special in their own way!
During the 5 year time jump did DJo stay in touch? I can't remember...Did any of them stay in touch? __________________
