They had promised to meet each other in Boston the moment Pacey's boat landed in the harbor, planning to catch up and Pacey was so stoked to tell Andie about everything he had seen during his time out on the water, giving her a pile of souvenirs he picked up along the way.

At first, their day together was beyond excellent(Andie giving him a guided tour of her school), getting right back in sync with each other as they resumed their friendly verbal sparring matches, Pacey determined as hell to get the last word in, but resigning to always come in second when it came to comparing wits with the brilliant Andie McPhee...however, the warmth between them seemed to cool as Andie started to distance herself from Pacey.

It had begun to get excruciating and obvious during dinner with everyone else, Andie acting as if she had just taken a vow of silence, making Pacey incredibly nervous in the process. He had to do something about it.

"Andie, can I go talk to you about something?"

Out in the hall, Pacey planted himself onto the steps and locked eyes with Andie, not permitting her to look away from him.

"What's up, McPhee? You're never a loss for words," Pacey commented, leaning back to rest his elbows onto the stairs behind him. With how pale Andie had become, the flushing of her cheeks stood out like a wine stain on white linen, dreading what came next for her...for them.

"Remember graduation night? The night I came back from Italy?" Andie started, pulling at the hem of her dress, doing her level best to keep herself steady on her feet, but ended up fidgeting anyway. "How we decided to ditch the party and have a wild night to ourselves, wanting to reconnect?"

"Course I remember. How could I forget? We lifted a bottle of my old man's scotch and got completely blitzed!" Pacey snickered.

"Then we got into that game of truth or dare, doing what we do best in trying to one up each other..." Andie yammered on as she took them on a journey down memory lane, hoping Pacey would put the pieces together.

"Yeah, that's right. I asked you if you ever thought about wanting to have a no strings attached night with me, and you said yes."

"And then we did," Andie replied, eyes fluttering as she remembered the way they stumbled into her bedroom-all passion, no reservation or hesitation.

"What's going on, Andie?" Pacey asked, thinking Andie wanted to talk to him about getting back together-something even he admittedly pondered when he woke up next to her the day after.

"We've got strings, Pacey...I'm pregnant."

And now finally, after all this, Andie's ready to graduate university. Ascending up the stairs to receive her diploma in medicine, she spots her husband and daughter in the crowd watching her, and Andie waves her hand in their direction, glowing with confidence.

"You proud of mommy?" Pacey asks her and Emily smiles, wiggling excitedly in her dad's arms. "So am I. She's gonna save people's lives, sweetheart. She already started with mine."
