Well... I tought about them together before the series finale, but only because Pacey always used to say Doug was gay. And was just a fanfic-slash-thing. I never would even imagine the authors would go down that road.! But it was really cool!

There was a certain sweetness about these too.
And I liked that Doug was a little conflicted about being openly gay. I think it was more realistic that way. And it made more sense in the context of his character, who had spent so much of the series shooting down the idea that he was gay. __________________

Very true.
I think it would have been quite off putting to not only see him with some random guy we didn't know but it would have been difficult to watch him go through what he did in those last couple of episodes with a stranger.__________________

It really was perfect. A pleasant surprise in the finale. I  every time I watch this scene..."I love you. I love you, Jack. I love that you're the bravest person I know... the kindest. I love that no matter what you do, your life is gonna stand out. I want to stand out with you... and your daughter. If you'll let me."   __________________
