Hi, didn't see this thread at first, so I had originally posted this on the Jack appreciation thread! [img]smilies/smile.gif[/img] I'll post it here too:

I really like Jack and Doug together; they make a good couple. [img]smilies/smile.gif[/img] It never occurred to me before it happened that those two were going to make a match, but when I heard that it was going to happen, I thought it was a great idea; don't know why they didn't think of it before! [img]smilies/smile.gif[/img] And then seeing them on screen together they had really good chemistry and it worked really well. [img]smilies/smile.gif[/img] Definitely the most on screen romantic chemistry that Jack has had with someone, and I thought it was really sweet how in the last episode that they said they loved each other and decided to bring up Jen's baby together. [img]smilies/smile.gif[/img]

The fic is at fanfiction.net and it's called "Seek and go hide" It starts off before the series finale airs. Jen's pregnant. Jack has just moved back to Capeside to teach. And dough is battling w/his attraction to the younger Mcphee.

Jack and Doug is actually one of my fav. couples usually I am not a shipper period for any ship. But they are so cute together. Plus Jack and Doug was such wonderfully written characters, and Dylan Neal and Kerr Smith did a great job playing them. I thought it was nice that in the end they were both able to find happiness, and Doug was able to be himself and have someone accept him for that, like Jack had had before.
The scene on the beach always makes me cry, but all their scenes together were wonderful.

i think the great thing about them was that they got together at the end so you can pretty much imagine the rest of their relationship any way you want.
