Great video. "I Don't Wanna Wait" is the catchier theme song,, but I like both..

"I Don't Want to Wait" will always but it for me. I've been watching on ABC family since early season 2 and I can't stand the theme song they play now. It just doesn't fit and I don't know what they were thinking.

A similar thing happened with OTH. The Gavin McGraw Theme song survived, but they had to change the artist because it became too expensive to keep Gavin as the singer for their Theme song, that is why they ended up having it being sung by several different artists over the years.

I don't entirely understand why a show can't be aired in reruns without the original sound track and why that wasn't addressed when the contract was first drawn up. Oh well, it is what it is and I will probably never get to hear the original sound track, so I'm fine with how it is now.

Same for me, that's what I grew up on and you hear that song you instantly think of DC. The "Run Like Mad" song is so wierd and doesn't fit at all to me. There are videos on Youtube with the original song to the openings so there is that at least. Like I said before, this is the first time I have seen a show in repeats that replaced the music. I've never seen that before and TBS had the original music back when they aired the repeats years ago. I thought this only happened on DVDs, and that is why some shows are held hostage for years. Like MTV's Daria was.

I didn't mind when they did that with OTH when it was still on air and really, that's what they could have done for Dawson's Creek. Find a cover of the song and use that instead of completely changing it. It would probably make fans a lot more happy to have the nostalgia even if it isn't Paula singing it.

So, they stopped playing it because of Paula Cole? Yeah, they should have had another version.

There was a fairly recent article (2015) where they talked about Paula Cole suing the show/network for using her song. Here is the article that I had seen.

Okay, I didn't ask for this, but we switched to DIRECTV yesterday. Now we have POP and I already have DC set to record.

I have this channel and it makes me happy to scroll through my TV guide and see Dawson's Creek is back on

I watch it every chance I get and have even recorded a few.

Nice. I was so disappointed when they took DC off of Netflix in November. Now all I have are my DVDs.
