Dawson's Creek Suggestion Thread #1: What would you like to see on our Board, New Ideas, Changes, etc.

Justyne and I thought we should open this thread and give everyone a chance to share their ideas we might have for the board. Feel free to share any comments or suggestions, they are all appreciated!

This is a really fun board and we want it to be the best it can be! We are open to all of your ideas :)

I have one idea which comes from other Boards here on :ff:

I thought it might be fun to do a Hangman Thread. These are the instructions I have on the JJ Board.


There is no limit to what quotes we can use other than they have to be something Josh has said, whether it's a quote from a movie, TV show or something he may have said in an interview.

Everyone gets to play and the person who correctly guesses the quote posts the next quote.

Example:

That's a fun game! It was popular on this forum, but the hangman thread must be buried on a back page. It probably just needs a bump.

Good to know. I haven't a chance to have a look at all the Threads.

This is as good a time as any to see how people feel about the anti shipper threads? I'm asking because I know positivity around here is popular.:D I'm also ok with keeping those open if they are wanted. Post your thoughts here.

I hate the anti threads. I am going to be brutally honest here, I used to not mind them, but lately whenever I come to the board and I see an anti thread is at the top of the page, it makes me feel less like posting. That of course is just my opinion and it is completely up to you two what you want to do.

I'm not a big fan of Anti-Threads, but as long as those who post there are respectful of other members and the love that we all share for the show and are respectful of the actors themselves, then I don't see a reason to take that away from those who like to post there.

I would like to encourage those that do post in the Anti-Threads to try not to get too personal with their comments (ie. I've seen references made against JVDB about his forehead and that is getting a bit too personal toward the actor, I've also had someone tell me I don't belong in a Thread once because I tried to state a fact, not voice my opinion and that is a bit disrespectful).

We would like to hear from everyone and what their thoughts are on the subject and just remember, regardless of the Thread Theme, we are ALL here because we LOVE something or everything about DAWSON'S CREEK :love: :group_hug:



I have to admit that I have stayed away from this Board as well because of some of the harshness of the Anti-Threads. Anti-Threads are a discussion topic with the Moderators as they are not very popular with a lot of Boards.

If this issue ever needs to be revisited we will return to this thread and review everyone's thoughts so I encourage everyone to share.

I haven't had much time to post lately, but I'd be in favor of closing down the anti threads and the unappreciation threads.

This show is very special to me and I rather this board be a more positive reflection of the show.

It's kind of dis-heartening whenever an anti thread is very active.

I'm glad that the anti DJo thread hasn't been very active lately.

Anti PJers could always post in the DC thread at the Everwood board.

I had no idea there was a Dawson's creek thread on the everwood board :wiggle:

I once tried to find the DC Thread on the Everwood Board, but I didn't have any luck.

Thanks, I had a quick look, but there's a lot of negativity in that Thread, so I think I'll just stay away from that. I prefer a positive feel in threads.
