Pacey really was the best part of that season - his character really came into his own. I enjoyed the Pacey/Andie relationship. And of course Josh did his best acting in "Unchartered Waters" as he broke down next to his drunken father. Still so amazing to this day... bravo Josh! On the D/Jo front, in hindsight I think the writers made the wrong decision in breaking them up so soon - it started a bad pattern of their on-off relationship tendencies towards each other. After a build-up of an entire season (based on a long-standing friendship for almost 15 years), it was probably disappointing for many of the fans to see their relationship fall apart so quickly and easily. And especially given Joey had pined for Dawson for so many years! (I'm a P/Jo fan, but in S1 I didn't mind DJo, so I think at the time even I was a little caught off guard at how quickly that relationship came apart - speaking as someone who did watch it on the original run.) That said... You know, I really liked Jack's development too. I didn't mind his romance with Joey, they had a nice chemistry, and really felt for him every step of the way on his journey. Good job, Kerr. (And Katie too, in the scene where she goes to Dawson in tears after Jack confesses he is gay... that girl has talent!) __________________

Another emotional Joey moment... her confronting her father wearing the wire. Fantastic acting by Katie.

I hate that they broke up DJo that early (shipper here) cause it didn't really make sense at the time.
Jack and Andie were such a great addition to the cast. i loved Jack's storyline, it was brave of them to do that kind of storyline back then __________________

And then of course there's Josh in 'Uncharted Waters'. I love this episode. One of my all time faves because I love the alternative story line with the girls at Gails house. I think this is a really significant episode for Joey and Jen's relationship. I always wanted those two to find a friend in each other. The scene on the beach is another heartbreaker. I absolutely love the words Pacey uses. "So I guess this is as good of time as any to have that father-son talk. So, how ya doin' in school, Pacey? Actually, Dad, I'm doing alright. I'm really turning things around. Turns out I'm pretty smart. Good man, Pacey. Always knew you'd turn out to be something. How the ladies treating you? Well, I met this woman. Is she cute? Aw, cute, man. Andie's beautiful. She's smart. She's funny. I tell ya, this girl is something special. For whatever reason, she seems to think I'm pretty special, too. Why can't you see that? Why can't you see me, huh? When did you give up on me? When I was 5? 10? 12? I'm 16 years old, Dad! And I'm here and I'm not proving that but I'm tryin' so hard for you. It's your job. It's your job to love me no matter who I am or what I become because you're my father! You're my dad! You're supposed to love me you son of a bitch. I can't do this by myself." __________________

I love the episode where Pacey and Jack find out that Andie has been seeing Tim. It's so powerful. The moments where they're trying to get her out of the bathroom, ah. Brilliant.

That scene was so beautiful and so sad at the same time. I felt horrible for Andie, that's a lot to take for a 16 year old kid

Again regarding Andie's mum. I just loved the way he jumped off the kitchen top and scooped her up, even though she resisted, he knew she needed him. This was when he became a hero to me. __________________
