Yes, thats obvious. And its funny, I like run like mad because in the first season in Germany it was the opening song so it was never weird for me...
But crazy how the music changed...

Very good question thanks for asking

Run like mad was also the opening song in my country, I think it was in all Europe actually

Mine would be Say Goodnight, not goodbye by Beth Nielsen Chapman, I fell in love with it in the season 1 finale when Dawson finally kissed Joey and that song has really stuck with me

Day Dream Believer for sure and Say Goodnight, not Good-bye is very DC to me. Although I first watched DC with the new music, I still identify both of the opening credits songs whenever I hear them. Another song is the one that Audrey sings with acoustic guitar, after she's all better. I don't know the title, but I love it. There are a couple more, but I can't think of them right now.

I know I had some of the original episodes years ago downloaded from Kazaa or some other popular file sharing site back then. Anyways, I decided to take the time to go through old hard drives I had stored away. Luckily enough, I found the files I had downloaded over 10 years ago! I have original airings for the pilot, episodes from season 3 and 4 (mostly episodes centered around P/J)! The copies I have are from the WB or international airings with the commercials cut. I will put a list together of what I have and if people are interested; find a way to share them.
If you do find a way to share them, please let us know here and/or in the General DC Thread.

Daydream Believer is wonderful, but ruined a tiny bit for me . I don't like that the song is used again at the end of S4. The song will always remind me of Pacey/Joey in Stolen Kisses.

I told you that the hollies song “the air that I breathe“ reminds me so much to DC so that I cry all the time I hear it. And you know what, on Friday I am going to see them live in concert. I am really excited
Just wanted to share this

Although I have no idea as to which song you are referring to (or the band who sings it), I know what it's like to be excited about something you care about and for that I am happy for you.

Thanks Christina.

Does anybody know if this is the song originally played or did this song replace another?

It is the original song. For the longest time, I thought Air Supply sung it. Oops!

Hi everyone,

I've been rewatching all my DC DVDs this weekend and as amazingly as they are, it wasn't quite the same without the original music! I have been looking online and saw Rtrompert mentioned they had digital copies of the episodes. Has anyone been able to contact them? Unfortunately I am unable to PM but not sure why.

Anyhow this is a great forum and it is great to see there are still so many people passionate about the show. Also sorry if I've posted on the wrong thread- this is my first time on a message board in years :-)

Many thanks

Welcome Teresey! I joined a few months ago after learning the IMDB boards were being shutdown. I tried PM'ing Rtrompert back in February, but received no reply back. I do not believe they have posted in a long time. I do not know of anyone who posts currently that has confirmed they received any of the files from Rtrompert.

Another poster (berserk) came around and said he had S4 with the original music and was going to provide a link. No such link ever came and no posts since then.

I do have a handful of the S3/S4 episodes from the original airings. I been trying to figure out how/where to upload and not get the episodes removed due to copyright claims. I tried YouTube but the episode was quickly taken off. I have been busy lately with work and life; had no time recently to try other methods. I might just need to zip them up and send them as emails to the few interested.

Original Episodes

I can imagine my request has mentioned before by other members...

I'm looking for the episodes with the original music/songs
I know that a few years ago the user rtrompert upload all of them from the UK TV
but it worked in a way that you need to get an invitation from him
I've tried to PM him, and also to contact some other users that got an invitation in the past but couldn't get any reply...

If someone has the link from back then, if it still exists, or maybe you can do like a whole project off uploading everything again to google drive, so other DC fans can enjoy the original series with the songs we all grew up with...
I just can't watch the episodes with other songs.... for me it's just part of the episode that you can't separate

I can't watch Jen coming back home at the end of season 3 without Alanis Morisset
Can't see Pacey say goodbye to Andy without "paper cup"
Can't understand how Joey picking another song from the jukebox in Ep01 Season 6!
Must hear "God can explain" when Dawson' leaves Gretjen his letter...

Please help me! and help all the DC fans
