That does annoy me a little, but in the end i don't really care who's song it is, because nothing could really top that scene between Pacey and Joey at the end of Stolen Kisses, especially DJo's awkward, tense, flat kiss.
And Rachey, love the avatar, even it isn't his best looking moment. Lol. |
I'm watching Stolen Kisses right now and it's such an anti-DJ episode, even if it might not be meant to be
Gwen keeps talking about all this great love  and none of it applies to DJo :lmao: not exactly what she expected :look: |

i was also very pissed when they used the same song for pj and dj ..
what where they thinking.. ?? i love the song but in my mind it is a dj song now :/ i rewatched the show few weeks ago, ( i used to watch it 5-10 years ago, but never watched the last season) and i just couldnt believe how someone can ship DJ .. Dawson is just soooo annoying, i was pretty sure there are just 2-3 deluded shippers.. and also at some points i was so frustrated with his crazy possession behavior i just skipped his scenes.. |
I rewatched the series finale yesterday and the commentary and I hate how they kept giong on and on about them being SOULMATES
I hate that word now bc of them  |
lollll ikr?! they killed it with the soul mates talk and now every time i hear those words, i auto think of DJo and im like uh... if thats a soul mate, then NO thank you!
|
 touldengal ! haha you crack me up!
That face is so freaking chute! |
and i cant with them... a while back some of us came up with ~codes for DJo LOL...
um :ghost: + = :puke: LOL |

And its like...where in the context and the definition of Soulmate is the word love used? And i don't believe in that predestined crap anyway. With Pjo, True Love may be overused a little bit, but at least the phrase MAKES sense, you know? And it really means they are each other's true love. They are true to each otehr and love is right there in the title. :D |

So why in the pluperfect hell does she keep pushing Joey on Dawson?!?!?! Why does she give Dawson the painting of him and Joey? How messed up is that family that they're setting him up to get his heart broken and in turn make Pacey and Joey feel even more guilty for being in love with each other? |
Oh, good god. I was trying really, really hard to tolerate them but I've reached my breaking point.
I can never hear the word "soulmates" without cringing now - good god, *face palm* I'm watching Show me Love right now and I hate how Dawson has to cheapen Pacey and Joey's relationship to make his and Joey's seem oh-so-holier-than-thou when what Pacey said was bang on about DJ - harsh, yes, but absolutely true. They DID bail at the first sign of crisis. I hate the fact that he has to twist Pacey's true feelings to make DJ sound better. It's just plain irritating at this point. I'm a little annoyed at Joey now - everyone treats Dawson like he's a baby and expects him to sit there while everyone else grovels at his feet for forgiveness. It's a two-way street, you know. Joey needs to stop treating him like he's a baby and making him feel better while sacrificing her own feelings - love doesn't work like that. If they were such "soulmates" he would have understood that he needed to let her go and if they were meant to be she would have come back to him. *facepalms again* |
totally agree. im not a big joey fan when it comes to how she sugar coats everything and tip toes around dawson like he is some sort of God. it's annoying as hell!
|
Oh my god. I'm not even finished the episode and I already - agh! If Show me Love was supposed to be good for DJo it did the opposite.
Dawson had NO clue what Joey needed - you change and grow with the person, because of the person but you don't do a 360 and try to be someone you're NOT you're just becoming a replacement for the person that the other one wants. Pacey would have never tried to nearly KILL Dawson, but Dawson did EXACTLY that - I cannot believe that he didn't get more repercussions for that - he nearly KILLED him and then freaking gloated that he won. Good god, and then he claimed he was trying to be Pacey?! Firstly, Pacey wouldn't have tried to kill a guy and secondly, the fact that he's trying to be the guy Joey wants - trying to be Pacey - UM, WELL PACEY'S RIGHT THERE. If he wanted Joey, if he truly did love her he would let her be happy instead of making her miserable. They claim to understand each other but in this episode it makes me see that Dawson never knew what Joey needed or wanted and did things to make himself happy. Love is a two way street. |
All those late-S3 episodes are the worst of the worst for DJo. Dawson is such a complete jerk, throwing his ultimatums around and acting like Joey is his property. And Joey is a total wimp, not standing up for what she wants and letting Dawson emotionally blackmail her. There is hardly a better example of how bad they are for each other than The Longest Day through the end of S3.
|
You know, sure, Dawson was all noble and everything by telling Joey to go but it took Joey not being able to stop tears coming thinking about spending her summer with him that made him do that. It was the right thing to do - it wasn't some great big thing - he should have done it ages ago and stopped Joey all that heartbreak.
The Longest day, ugh. They're just so ... destructive with one another, they constantly hold each other back and kjhkjh! |
i think the end of season 3 was the writers making dawson look worse than his innate character actually. Im not a big dawson fan, but if you think about it, he was completely OOC in those few episodes, lol.
with that being said :ghost: |
Well, he's not really OOC to me. To me, he is totally capable of acting like he did. We all have moments in our life when we show our unattractive qualities and we do it big time...and unfortunately in Dawson's case, he magnifies the (many) negative qualities about him and for quite some time, so much so that if someone didn't like him him before, well this would definitely seal the hate now.
Its just, whenever it comes to Joey, all those things someone might not like about Dawson, all those things that make him so annoying, get magnified and its so easy to hate him. Thats why they are both better off with someone else. Because Joey never showed he better side with him either. Like her spinelessness, her inability to just say no to him, and treating him like he is a god that she should kiss the ground he walks on...and just being a total wimp when anything concerns Dawson. They were both so much better without each other. Although, i still don't like Dawson, even when he's by himself. But still, he was always worse with Joey. |
I agree that his flaws were magnified in the latter half of S3. So he wasn't completely OOC IMO.
