*We Love Pacey & Joey Thread Website*

Jenn has made us a beautiful website with ALL of our important links. This is a VERY valuable resource for us. Thank you, Jenn! ::muah::

Why Snails?

Since we are always welcoming new True Lovers to our home, I'm going to post this information here so that everyone will know. The reason our counter is by snails dates back to the episode Modern Romance in Season 1. Pacey and Joey were assigned an extra credit project involving the mating habits of snails. Pacey tried to create a snail menage a trois and the snails all died. So, they had to go out into the creek to collect more. At the end of that day, Pacey kissed Joey for the first time. So, we decided to use snails as our counter. Got it? Good.

Topic Starter!

Well, True Lovers, it's over. *sniff* But, what a way to end, huh? WE. WON. (That will never get old.)

Discuss Best and Worst moments for Pacey and Joey, as individuls and as a couple.

Just a few reminders:
Please do not “star” post, meaning, a post to just say hello, goodnight, or anything like such. Please refrain from posting big long pieces of scenes, with lots of dialogue in a row, on the same page. In addition, keep the number of pics per post to a minimum in order to conserve server space. Also, please do not post the same pic on the same page or quote pics throughout the snail. If someone has already posted the pic you were going to post, just mention that in your post, especially if the pic is on the same page. We can just look on the page and see what you’re referring to. Also, please do not bring over comments from D/Jo fans or arguments from other threads over here to the snail. This is the place to have fun and enjoy P/Jo, not to bash another couple. Thanks!

As per usual, feel free to post fanarts, wallpapers, anything P/Jo.

So... what are you waiting for? Let's get this P/Jo party started!

My Favorite worst Moment and Best moment for Pacey and Joey....

The best moment for them as a couple I would have to say....after all the years was the true love scene at the end...becuase they were going aganist everything they knew, everything they loved, everything they ever thought that they wanted to just be together and see where that took them.....on a jounrey though true love and I think that's what true love is, loving eachother dispite other obsticals or peoples views....so this is their best moment....

Pacey's worst moment was definatly Promicide. I don't think Pacey should have said that to joey at her prom....she loved him with her whole heart and that wasn't fair for him to just blast out all his fears onto her like it was all her fault...all she did was love him and want to dance with her best friend...

Joey's Worst moment towards pacey I would say was when she told him dumped him at harley's dance for Eddie. Pacey loved her more than he had ever realized...and he poured his heart out to her moment before she left him...and he had the desency to dance with her to make up for their missed prom AFTER THAT...i just felt it was so out of charater for joey....we all knew she loved him...she was just running from her feelings...bad joey!

good topic banterbeliever!

the best moment for p/j was come to an end. b/c joey went with her true love, the man she was meant to be with forever.

paceys worse moment was in season 5 when he told joey her and dawson should finally get their shot b/c the world could use more romeo and juliets or something like that. i just thought he was full of crap in that episode and was just saying that to make her think it didn't affect him that her and dawson were attempting another try into their relationship. i felt that was one of the first times he wasn't straight and completely honest with her, which he has always been since season 1. from what i hear promicide was something that was completely out of character from pacey, but, since i haven't seen that episode i don't think its fair of me to name it as the worst moment for pacey.

Worst moment for joey, i think its a tie between coda and when she dumped pacey at harley's dance. Coda was just ridiculous and i didn't like that so soon after her and pacey breaking up she went to dawson again. don't even get me started on her and eddie, that entire relationship was a huge joke in my opinion so i'll just leave it at that.

Great post BanterBeliever.

True Love gets me every time I watch it. I literally get teary eyed while watching the "I'M FREE" look on Joey's face whenever she is running to catch Pacey as she meets him at True Love, before they set sail on their romantic journey for that beautiful summer. You are so correct in saying that they were going against everything that they knew and were about, they battled major obstacles, *cough Dawson* , and risked everything for their deterination to be together because they were hopelessly and completely in love with each other. I mean, lots of people don't even realize what Joey was risking.. Her friendship with Dawson. Yeah, most of us do not think it would be big for Joey to lose Dawson because of the hell he put her through, but to Joey, Dawson did mean something to her, so if her friendship with Dawson fizzled, she would have been crushed, as we all know. But, she risked that to be with Pacey, the love of her life, and that was huge as it showed how deeply she felt for Pacey. Yes, both Pacey and Joey had to go through hell to be together in True Love, and they did it because their deep love and admiration for one another took over and guided them to be together.. Just beyond amazing if you really think about all that they had to go through to be together. I loved every minute of it.

And I agree, Pacey's worst moment was Promicide. I understand Pacey's feelings and I truly felt for him as I could feel his pain and stuggle, but yes, he certainly picked a wrong time to tell Joey how he was feeling. I did feel horribly for Joey because yes, she didn't deserve that blow up from Pacey. However, Pacey was a gentleman later on as he explained everything to her and was very sorry for how things went down. I just melted in the episode where Joey goes to his place to ask him to go to the party with her, and he looks at her with severe pain in his eyes and instantly tells her that he missed her. My heart just broke..

And I so agree with Joey's worst moment. Honestly, I don't think I have been more pissed at her in Dawson's Creek history. She made me so whenever she dumps Pacey for that repulsive Eddie. I just cringe even thinking about it.. I understand that Joey was just running from the real deal and true love that she knew she had with Pacey, although, I just cannot keep a straight face while watching that scene because I am frowning to high heaven while viewing Joey running scared and breaking things off with Pacey. Pacey is crushed and I can almost feel his heart breaking to pieces as she is in plain denial and giving him that horrid story that she was going back to disgusting Eddie and that she was not feeling it with him.. I mean, that was such a joke because she certainly was feeling it in the episodes before.. Even Pacey knew she was running I think. But, he loved her so much that he was willing to let her go.. And my heart just stopped whenever he comes back in after all that song and dance Joey just gave him and he STILL asked her to dance. That was unbelievable that he did that. He was such a sweetheart and a hell of a guy to do that. He loved her so much and while it was ripping him up inside with what Joey just told him, he still danced with her. To see the expression on Joey's face was priceless.

Just thought I would be in my two cents..

I love all your opinions Cleveland, YBB, and Banterbeliever. I am going to name a lot of my favorite and least favorite moments. This is pure honesty.

Season 1- Yes, I am going to say it. It breaks my heart when Joey rejects Pacey in season 1. She turns her head. All he wanted was a little kiss. Then, she says she isn't into him. Well, she sure seemed to be into him when she was talking about him the few times to Dawson.

Season 2- Well, there were about two scenes where Pacey and Joey actually spoke to just each other. Pacey rescuing Joey from the fire was sweet and showed that he cared about her, even though they weren't close at the time

Season 3- There are so many good moments. A few that stick out. I love how Joey stands up for Pacey to Dawson in None of the Above. Jealous Joey in Four to Tango, when Joey tells Pacey she makes him feel alive, so he has to kiss her again, Pacey buying Joey the wall and how her face lights up, Joey telling Pacey she is in love with him, Joey and dancing at the anti-prom. I don't think any moments were really the worst, just sad, like the end of Longest Day or standing near the wall at Show Me Love

season 4- best moments- Joey crying out Pacey's name in the middle of the storm, Joey being so happy when Pacey says he wants to be with her, the end of Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, the last scene in Falling Down when Joey is wiping Pacey's tears, the last scene in Winter's Tale, the pure giddiness on Joey's face when she goes over to Pacey's house in Mind Games, so they can have sex, Separation Anxiety when they say they miss each other and Joey says how can she enjoy her life without Pacey
Worst moments: The end of Mind Games where I just felt so bad for them both, Promicide when Pacey tells Joey she makes him feel like he's nothing when just a few episodes he got his dream every time he looks at her. In otherwords, his whole screaming thing made no sense, Coda makes me ill, but it really just shows that Joey only runs back to Dawson because he is her security blanket.

Season 5- Yes, there are some good moments. How happy Joey and Pacey are to see each other in 503. Of course, Joey wants to see Pacey, the banter in 505 when Pacey is trying to scare Joey in the beginning with Jack, Joey's obvious jealousy about Karen because of her snarkiness. "The moon stretched above you and sugar high, Joey and Pacey's talk and hug at the end of 510 where Joey loks like she is at "home" in Pacey's arms. In 511, the few times, they mention their relationship. How Joey just looks at Pacey with pure awe and is proud at how well he's doing, I noticed that Joey was all happy when Pacey said he was staying in 512 and she said I guess you're stuck with us, I like how Pacey is uncomfortable hearing about Joey's love life and how he keeps turning his head and how Joey doesn't want him to hear about it. That's when I think things could have gotten back to normal, but no, because here are my worst moments

season 5 worst moments-
Pacey' Romeo and Juliet comment, even though I didn't buy it. The blessing. I really was going to throw something at my tv. I guess I could see it as Joey not wanting to make Pacey feel guilty the way Dawson made her and Pacey feel guilty throughout seasons 3 and 4, The 100 episode. The only thing that saved this was Katie picking the wall as her favorite moments. I mean, no way would Pacey tell Charlie where Joey is. He hates the guy. I don't even want to talk about their little conversation at the beach. I did like the fact that you can still see that Pacey is not over Joey in his interactions with Dawson and how he says he lost the girl and Joey is trying to tell him it's not the same. Of course, they are not allowed to have a normal conversation, so we can't hear what they really think. This brings me to the season finale. I so didn't have to see the airport crap. I guess it doesn't bother me as much now because we all know that the person Joey was running from was Pacey.

season 6 best moments- I was shocked when I first got the spoilers. I never thought anything would come of them. I loved that the writers finally acknowledged that Joey and Pacey cam back from thier trip all in love, Pacey biting Joey was priceless, I liked all the reactions in 610 to Audrey's speech and how Joey was worried about Pacey when her father made his speech about how great Dawson was and Joey couldn't care less, Drunk Joey kissing Pacey first and admittign she is not over him either, She said "we", Castaways and the pure giddiness on both their faces when they are in the sleeping bag and how Joey tells Pacey it was her dream come true, Joey and Pacey kissing at the end of Sex and Violence, how Joey was there for Pacey in 621 when he needed her, and the finale when Joey tells Pacey their love is real and she has been running from it.

Worst season 6 moments- Joey dumping Pacey for Eddie and saying she wasn't feeling it when we all saw her feeling it the last couple episodes. Even Pacey thought it came out of nowhere just like his prom rant. I hated 620 and all the Joey and Eddie schmoopiness.

hshapir2.. How I love reading your posts.. Your informative posts are priceless. I just love them!

The writers should have asked you to do the commentary on the DVD's.. You honestly know more than the writers do! I could see them just looking at you, shaking their heads, and saying, "Yeah, that is exactly what we meant," while secretly knowing that you know more about what they were trying to convey than they actually did! Hee.

Thanks Cleveland. I saw your post at one of the threads and loved every word. The DJer's see things in their own way. They like words and no actions. They bring up everything Joey said to Dawson in season 2 without any consideration for the seasons after where she ran off for an entire summer with Pacey and left Dawson crying on the docks, or how she stayed in a year long relationship with Pacey while she couldn't last two months with, or how she was glad she had sex with Pacey and continued to, while she called Dawson a one night stand which was a huge mistake. We actually saw actions and not just words with Joey and Pacey. It reminds me of what Dawson says in True Love to Joey before she runs off with the love of her life Pacey. "They are just words, you're just going to say you're pleasantries and leave." I love how you brought up all my favorite points.

I do not see a girl who is torn. This is a girl who knows who she wants.

Thanks hshapir2. Yes, Joey always knew what she wanted the minute she fell in love with Pacey. She was not torn when it came to knowing who she was in love with, that's for sure.

Yes, the thing that gets me is how D/Jers will always hold onto what Dawson or Joey said to each other WAY back in season one or two.. I don't comprehend how just because they heard a few empty, meaningless words from either Dawson or Joey with regards to the future of whatever else, they feel like that automatically means that Dawson and Joey were always meant to be together romantically in the very end. Hell, that is a scary thought if I were to ever think that what I said at age 15-16 should be set in stone and regarded as the finale outcome of my future.. Wow, that's a scary thought!

Just like Joey tells Dawson how things don't always work out the way that you thought they would. No truer words were ever spoken. That was totally Joey's way of admitting to Dawson that what she said or thought whenever she was younger, absolutely did not hold true. Joey admits this and is very blunt about it, so why don't D/Jers realize what the girl was saying and not be so stuck on the silly notion that Dawson and Joey were meant to be together romantically at the very end? Just doesn't make sense to me one bit.

My fave moments with pacey and joey...

Season 3: the middle parts of season 3, how they both were developing feelings for each other. it felt so natual and real to me, it wasnt forced like it was with dawson and joey.

season 4, i loved them in because it was those two in so love with each other.

season 6, at the end, starting with castwways i just love them to pieces that they snuggle in the sleeping bag together.

My worse moments....

Basically, in season 4, when pacey just yelled at joey, i mean it needed to be said, but wrong place to say it.

season 5: when both pacey and joey didnt even acknowledge that they were together,

season 6: when joey gave pacey" i didnt feel it speech.. that was a low blow and very fake.

Hey, to all the P/J fans.

I have a request for you all. Does any of you have the episode "The longest day" on your computer? Or at least scenes of it. If any of you do please reply here or pm me thanks.

hugs,

As always, I love reading your posts hshapir and Cleveland! I couldn't agree more with what you said...
I was going to post my favorite/worst PJ scenes, but it would just sound like what everyone else has said.
ITA YBB, I absolutely hated what Pacey said to Joey in season 5: I-- oh, look. If anybody understands the various shades of gray here, it's me, and I think it's time the two of you got your shot... because the way I see it, you never did, and this world could use as many Romeo and Juliet’s as it can get. But I did like Joey's responce: Look what happened to them. I might be alone in this, but I always thought that she was referring to her and Pacey when she said "look what happened to them."

Hi everyone, I'm new to this thread This is a great topic, it brings back so many memories

My Best P/J moment would have to be from 322-The Antiprom. My heart just melted when Pacey said "I Remember Everything". Even though Joey didn't "choose" between pacey and Dawson yet, her facial expressions clearly told us who she really wanted!
My Best Joey moment was in the episode Must come to an end. Joey told Jen "I know who I'm supposted to be with, I've always known Enough said!
My Best Pacey moment was in episode 414 Winter's Tale when Pacey turned down Anna. He really showed how much he loved and respected Joey, and when he turned around there was Joey, who heard everything he said.

My worst moments were when they broke up/rejected each other. But I think that made their bond stronger, and led them back to each other...forever!

amore, good observation on your part. when joey says "look what happened to them" i never thought she would be talking about her and pacey, and now that you mention it looking back on that episode i think she might have been. its observations like yours and hshapir that make me want to see season 5 again, and that took a lot of guts for me to admit that lol.
