Effective immediately, the Spoilers Board Moderators reserve the right to temporarily close any thread that does not heed four official warnings given on any issue. Re: OTH...I really think the actors' personal lives became a factor in BL and their future. Also...I've never seen the show but I always got the impression that it could have gone either way with BL or PL...that it wasn't as clear as it is with CB. Can someone elaborate a bit on this?

I absolutely believe that the fact that Chad Michael Murray and Sophia Bush got married and then divorced brought on Brooke and Lucas in Seasons Two and Three, and basically ended them forever in Season Four. My understanding is that Mark Schwann always wanted Lucas and Peyton to end up together, but Chad and Sophia’s chemistry (and some pressure from Chad to bring back Brooke and Lucas after Season One) made Brooke and Lucas a very popular couple, but I think the problems that Chad and Sophia had working together after their breakup and divorce doomed the possibility of Brooke and Lucas ever getting back together as a couple, and Mark Schwann went back to Lucas and Peyton and they ended up together on the show.
