They meet some interesting characters including Brad (guest star Andy Richter), a cheerful next-door neighbor in the stationary business, and Sylvia (guest star Jenny McCarthy), a seductive and attractive woman who lives across the street and has her eye on Chuck. Meanwhile, Big Mike (Mark Christopher Lawrence) is on a work rampage after his wife files for divorce, so the Buy More gang sets him up on a dating website to keep him distracted. other:

+ Chuck and Sarah go undercover in a suburban neighborhood as a married couple in order to find out which of their new neighbors is a Fulcrum agent. Meanwhile, Jeff and Lester set out to hook up Big Mike with a girlfriend. Big Mike is set up with a sexy Latina woman and they get along famously although they both lie to each other. When Big Mike admits that he doesn't own a shipping company, but rather is the manager of the Buy More, the woman admits that she has a grown son that works at the same Buy More. It turns out that she's Morgan's mother. Back in the suburbs, Chuck ends up handcuffed to a bed by one of the neighborhood's desperate housewives. He manages to escape and finds a computer where he views images that resemble the Intersect only "darker." it turns out that the entire neighborhood are bad guys that were part of an abandoned spy program. Chuck is the first to survive their test, so they strap him in and force him to watch the "Dark Intersect" again as Casey and Sarah are forced to watch. However, Chuck collapses as he watches, apparently unable to handle the Dark Intersect after all.
From Casting Sides

++It's the moment you Chuck fans have been waiting for: Chuck and Sarah are getting married!

And as you can see in the sneak peek above, Jenny McCarthy is totally trying to steal him away, the little trollop.

It all goes down on this Monday's episode and...OK, the Sarah-Chuck marriage is all a ruse for a mission.

Still, we just interviewed Chuck boss Josh Schwartz himself at New York's Comic Con, and he gave us some very promising news about the could-be couple's future! (Did someone say cohabitation?)

Keep reading for that scoop and much more...

Jenny McCarthy may be putting the moves on Chuck, but that's not the only action he'll be getting this year, according to Schwartz. "This season Chuck will have his first kill and have his own move, a cool spy move." Holler! Our dorkalicious hero is really stepping it up.

But what about the sexy action between Chuck and Sarah? Once the Jonathan Cake debacle is over, that topic will definitely come up. Schwartz reveals: "There are natural obstacles to them getting together. For instance, if they fall in love it jeopardizes their job." Bummer. Silver lining? "We've thought about Chuck and Sarah living together," adds Schwartz.

Ummmm...Yes, please!? With sister Ellie getting married, it only makes sense, right?

By the way, there are so many guest stars coming up on Chuck, it's almost the new 30 Rock, you know...minus Oprah and Jennifer Aniston.

+ 2.13 - CHUCK VERSUS THE BEST FRIEND
02-09-2009 8:00PM

I’VE GOT YOUR BACK— Chuck (Zachary Levi) helps a heartbroken Morgan (Joshua Gomez) spy on Anna (Julia Ling). After he flashes on Anna’s new boyfriend, Chuck, along with Sarah (Yvonne Strahovski) and Casey (Adam Baldwin), is sent to discover his connection to a dangerous gang. Meanwhile, Jeff (Scott Krinsky) and Lester (Vik Sahay) try to convince Ellie (Sarah Lancaster) and Awesome (Ryan McPartlin) to hire their band Jeffster! for the wedding.

Show Cast: Zachary Levi, Yvonne Strahovski, Adam Baldwin, Joshua Gomez, Sarah Lancaster, Ryan McPartlin, Mark Christopher Lawrence, Vik Sahay, Scott Krinsky, Julia Ling

Source: NBC

other:

+ We flash back to 1992 and 12-year-old Morgan is running from a bully. A female bully. She takes him down and is prepared to get even with him for spying on her when 12-year-old Chuck appears. Adorable and heroic, even in middle school Chuck has Morgan’s back. Young Morgan laments his girlfriend-less state to young Chuck, but his friend predicts that one day they’ll have girlfriends. Morgan suspects growing a beard will land the ladies…

+ Flash to the present day and Morgan is again lamenting his girlfriend-less status, this time pining over Anna. Unfortunately for Anna, her new boyfriend, Jason, is mixed up with the Triad, a gang of Chinese bad guys. Chuck ends up undercover with Sarah at Jason’s car showroom, along with Anna, trying to figure out Jason’s connection to the Triad. Morgan, still 12 years old in some ways, is caught by the Triad when he tags along to spy on Anna. In order to save Morgan’s life, Chuck convinces the Triad that Morgan isn’t a spy…he’s a loser stalking Anna. A devastated Morgan, not knowing how close he came to death, feels betrayed by his best friend. Chuck doesn’t have time to fix it, though, because the Triad is targeting an Ambassador and Team Chuck has to save the day!

+ Meanwhile, Jeff and Lester’s friendship undergoes a strain as well.

+ Chuck figures out that Jason is planning to plant a bomb in a classic Rolls Royce that the Chinese Ambassador wants to buy at a car auction. Casey, Chuck and Sarah sneak into the car auction. In the Nerd Herd car, Chuck goes after the Rolls because Morgan is in the trunk with the bomb. The Chinese ambassador doesn't listen to Chuck's warning. Meanwhile, Sarah points out to Anna that she keeps comparing Jason to Morgan. Later, Jason wants to flee and he says that he has two tickets to Bermuda and wants Anna to go with him. She decides that she can't because she still has feelings for Morgan. Jason then is rude to Anna and then Morgan shows up and somehow punches out Jason.
From Casting Sides

+ Guest characters include Jason Wang (30-ish; "handsome, tall, successful, cool" Asian male), Smooth Lau (30-35; androngynous, beautiful, powerful Asian female enemy spy), Chinese Ambassador, 12-year old Chuck, 12-year old Morgan and Suzy O'Keefe (12; "blossoming girl who punches 12-yr-old Morgan and knocks him down. Pretty, but tough").

Chuck Vs. the Beefcake

episode description:

CHUCK GETS TERRITORIAL WHEN SARAH GETS CLOSE TO AN ATTRACTIVE AGENT—Chuck (Zachary Levi) breaks up with Sarah (Yvonne Strahovski) after Ellie’s (Sarah Lancaster) urging, but jealousy strikes when Sarah must seduce a handsome agent in order to retrieve Fulcrum intelligence. Morgan (Joshua Gomez) deals with his mother’s relationship with Big Mike (Mark Christopher Lawrence) by crashing at Chuck’s apartment much to Ellie and Awesome’s chagrin. Meanwhile, Jeff (Scott Krinsky) and Lester (Vik Sahay) talk their way into hiring the new Buy More employee but decide to search for the “Buy More Babe.” Adam Baldwin also stars.

other:

+ Appearing in two episodes, Cole Barker (Jonathan Cake) is the handsome British spy who "captures Sarah's fancy" and that she has to seduce.

From Chicago Tribune

+ Morgan passes off the task of hiring a new cowork to jeff and Lester. They scam swimsuit models into thinking that they are auditioning for the cover of the Buy More catalog. When they find out that they've been had, they take it out on Chuck by slapping him. Also, Morgan is forced to disrobe in front of them.

From Kristin

+ Sports Illustrated swimsuit cover girl Brooklyn Decker will guest star when Jeff and Lester take over the hiring process at Buy More and begin recruiting potential Buy More booth babes.

Other Info

++ Chuck has long looked up to Roark -- and has few lingering feelings for his absent dad.
From Zap2It

++ Guest Stars Galore:

Tricia Helfer: According to Schwartz, she plays a hot agent, Alex Forrest, who seduces Captain Awesome. (Warning: Avert your eyes cause it may be too much prettiness on one screen.)
Arnold Vossloo: He's a Fulcrum agent who helps to identify Chuck as the intersect. Also, says executive producer Chris Fedak, "We'll get to see the inside of Fulcrum's headquarters; it's like Tron."
Chevy Chase: Tech mogul Ted Roark is not a friend to Chuck, especially when he orders him killed.
Scott Bakula: Sarah is actually going to help Chuck find his father via the CIA, but "don't assume Chuck's dad is a spy," says Schwartz.
Do you want Chuck and Sarah to end up together or do you think that'll be the end of the show? How about the list of guest stars?
Oh, and we forgot one. Check out Andy Richter putting the moves on Sarah

++ Scott Bakula has been cast as Chuck and Ellie's dad. Chuck promises Ellle that he'll find their father before her wedding and "it's something that Chuck becomes consumed with pursuing during the second half of the season." However, Dad doesn't seem like he wants to be found. According to Josh Schwartz, "He's living in a trailer, he's disheveled, he's paranoid and he's claiming constantly that Ted Roark -- who he used to work with -- stole all his ideas from him. And Ted Roark has now become this super-successful software billionaire, and Chuck's dad has become an eccentric, living in the shadows." Bakula is set to play the role in at least three episodes starting in April.
From Ausiello

++ Chevy Chase has been cast as Ted Roark, "a technology mogul -- a mega-billionaire in the new-media business -- who is accused by Chuck's father for stealing his ideas. The character is set to appear in three episodes.
From The Hollywood Reporter

++ Ellie and Awesone's wedding should take place sometime during May sweeps.
From Kristin

++ Execs Josh Schwartz and Chris Fedak were joined by series star Yvonne Strahovski for a panel Sunday, which followed a rather extensive reel of never-before-seen footage from the second half of the current season, loaded with spoilers of what's coming up, including more (inappropriate) romance at the Buy More, some guest appearances by comedy and sci-fi icons and more revelations about Chuck and Ellie's dad.

++ The room was packed beyond capacity, likely to check out the lovely Aussie Strahovski (who lost geek cred for saying she didn't get the show's pop-culture references,) and the crowd was definitely entertained by the funny trio, though the constant requests and invitations during the Q&A session got a bit annoying (and led to the new catch-phrase "Throw it up!") Among the topics touched upon were the effect of the economy on Buy More (something we'll see coming up, guest casting (Fedak lives to cast Star Trek actors), Jeff and Lester's band "Jeffster," and the introduction of new spies in the lives of Chuck and company, including a British agent who takes a shining to our favorite lady agent.
Source: Blogger

++ Things don't look good for Charah. Chuck tells Ellie at one point something like "there's isn't going to be anything further than what we are right now. And I'm ok with that. When the trailer door opens and Bakula leans out, Chuck and Sarah are together (and no one else was shown to be). The trailer leads us to believe that as a thanks for Chuck's contributions to the US govt, it's "time for the US Govt to help you out." The "steamy" scenes are definitely between Sarah and Cole Barker. Shown in the trailer. Confirmed by JS in the talk. Real? Mission? It's a trailer, guys, so don't know - but steamy? Well, for a few second, yeah. Chuck's misadventures with guns continue - it looks like he's definitely stepping up his mission involvement, to the point of admitting to a new Fulcrum baddie that he planned the mission and forbid his team to carry guns (of course, Casey whips out a gun and shoots!) hehehe, pretty funny. Chevy Chase is a serious jerk, and they showed a scene with him and Bakula together (with Chuck as well). CC seems accomodating to Papa B's visit but instructs his henchmen to kill Chuck. Chuck tells Sarah "I thought we could just have a quiet time in the suburbs, rent some videos, make some popcorn" or something like that. Sarah says, "Chuck, we can't go back there.. " and more, but I'll have to let you know after I transcribe the audio later

Source: Jay90

++ -Looks like Sarah does get hot and heavy with Cole (MI6 guy). They show both of them in a bedroom pressed against each other making out. In another scene shown, Chuck, Sarah and Cole are tied up and about to be tortured. Cole asks Sarah on a scale from 1 to 10, what is Chuck’s pain tolerance. She says one, and jealous Chuck says it’s more 7 to 8. Quick scenes with Jenny McCarthy, Chevy Chase, Scott Bakula (got a loud ovation), Cylon chick giving a lap dance to Awesome, and Big Mike with Morgan’s Mom. Also shown were Jeff and Lester negotiating for strippers for Awesome’s bachelor party (they get three fat chicks). The last scene we’ve seen before, Chuck sitting with Sarah telling her that one day he’s going to get the Intersect out of his head and he’s going to have the freedom to live his life and be with whoever he wants to be. Josh gives the same cryptic answers (why Chuck doesn’t get paid by gov’t, why he still lives with his sister, etc), “Well, Chris and I have talked about these things…”Last thing, Do you know that Yvonne is gorgeous. As soon as she walked in, flash bulbs were flashing everywhere.
Source: ?

++ Yvonne hasn’t complained about any of the little outfits she’s had to don for fight scenes but she once drew the line at fighting in a towel. One of the upcoming fight scenes is her favorite; it happens in a car. We’re going to see some behind the scenes at the Fulcrum headquarters. We could see Chuck’s first kill coming up soon. The issue of whether or not the government is paying Chuck for his duties will get addressed. The issue of Chuck moving out or Sarah moving “seems like the popular way to go,” according to Josh.

Source: la di da... TV!

++"Alan Sepinwall and the other bloggers filled in the panel discussion points pretty well, but there's been kind of sketchy details about the trailer. Still waiting on the YT video from someone, hope that's not too long in coming so you can all see it for yourself. In the meantime, I remembered some additional details (with the help of my trusty audio recording) about more of the scenes that I thought I'd share to help bridge the gap between now and whenever someone releases the vid into the wild.

There's a scene with Sarah in her underwear, holding a gun on Cole, who is on the floor, literally under her heel (it's on his back). He's laying on his stomach with his shirt off looking kind of surprised at the turn of events. Both of them are looking at someone who just entered the room and I had the impression it was Chuck. Sarah's got what *looks like* a belt wrapped around her wrists, handcuffing her.

Later in the trailer, there was a scene with Sarah and Cole in what looked like an earlier part of the same scene as above. Sarah, still in the same underwear, still with a belt around her wrists, kicking a gun out of Cole's hands, then delivering a roundhouse kick, which could be what puts him in the position in the previously described scene.

If I had to guess (don't hold me to this), based on the scenes shown in the trailer, arranged in reverse order, that there was a seduction mission, it gets steamy, Cole turns the tables on Sarah and handcuffs her with his belt. She throws her kicks, knocks him down, and then Chuck walks in.

Chuck's definitely in a scene in mission gear with two guns blazing at the camera John Woo style."

"There's a nice (awww) scene in 'Suburbs' where the men are standing around and Andy Richter's character asks Chuck, "Now, hold on a minute, who's that talking to my wife?" The camera cuts to the women, then back to Chuck and he says, "Oh.. that's my wife. That's Sarah." Then back to Sarah as she turns their way and smiles. It seemed as if Chuck was a bit entranced by the illusion.

There's a scene I mentioned previously at what seemed like the Orange Orange:

Chuck: "I thought that, you know, we could maybe enjoy a night in the suburbs.. Just order in, rent a movie, no mission to worry about, just Mr. and Mrs. Carmichael. Maybe have some fun?"
Sarah: "Chuck, we can't go back there. It was just a cover."

I'm going with happydayz interpretation of this - it's after 'Suburbs' or at least at its end. Whatever happened there, all of it was clearly not *bad*, because Chuck is seemingly pining for them to return to those roles. You'd think the DI implant would overshadow, but.. ?

In what seemed to be Sarah's apartment, Chuck and Sarah moment:
Chuck: "I just want to be able to tell Ellie the truth.. about who I am.. and what I do and how I really feel about you. I can't believe how much the United States government has hurt the people that I love."
Sarah: "Well, maybe it's time for the United States government to help you."

I think the next scene was Chuck and Sarah pulling up to his father's Airstream trailer in the middle of nowhere in Sarah's Porsche. I guess it is just the two of them - and Sarah helps Chuck find his dad in what seems like a personal, not professional capacity based on the previous scene.

Also, in the trailer, Chuck tells Sarah while his dad isn't with them that the last time he saw him he was crazy. I think his dad says something like "they're tracking my every move." I guess he's a bit paranoid.

Chuck brings their dad back to Ellie:

Dad: "Hello, Eleanor." [Ellie is stunned]
Chuck: "Well, aren't you going to say something?"
Ellie: "You said you were going to go make pancakes!" [she storms off]

Chuck talks to Ellie, maybe in her bedroom:
Chuck: "We can choose to hate him for the rest of our lives or we choose to forgive him."
Ellie: "Easier to hate him."
Chuck: "Well that may be, but he's all we have left now." (emphasis mine) Does that mean by this point we know their mom is deceased?

Chuck and Sarah (at the fountain, perhaps?):
Chuck: "I am going to get this thing out of my head.. one day. I will. And when I do, I'm going to live the life that I want with the girl that I love." I'm reasonably certain he means her.

Beckman briefing:
Beckman: "Hopefully I wont . (inaudible) Mr. Bartowski his one foolish mistake. But.. if Fulcrum knows who you really are.. pack your bags Chuck, you're leaving with me. Tell your family and friends.. tell them nothing."

Someone needs to change the guest stars photos, they are so outdated by now. Jen it's your job honey .

And most importantly, is it true that Chuck will get more episodes this season?? Like it said a couple of posts back?

So, so confused right now ...
1- So far we only get 22 episodes of Chuck.
2- We get one break next week because of Obama's speech
3- We get another break in April because of some games
4- They are probably changing Best Friends to after Suburbs because of Valentines Day.
5- NBC is ****ed up and we are stuck with them .

There was a report of us getting more episodes this season, but it didn't say how many. They are delaying some other stupid show, but maybe thats more because of the interruptions and not us actually getting more episodes.

I think its pretty cool how there adding new agents as long as it doesn't affect our trio group. But I wish I could have seen that long preview, man oh man.

I'm not miffed about the MI6/Sarah thing, tbh. I'm actually looking forward to it.

But it can't be that much of a threat.. Beckman takes Sarah out the episode after Cole leaves, right? So Beckman has to suspect something between CS in and around there.

ETA: More, this time from the official forums.

-Chuck vs. NY Comic Con trailer was videotaped. Look for it. I turned my camera off, but other people didn’t.

-Looks like Sarah does get hot and heavy with Cole (MI6 guy).

-quick scenes with Jenny McCarthy, Chevy Chase, Scott Bakula (got a loud ovation), Cylon chick giving a lap dance to Awesome, and Big Mike with Morgan’s Mom.

-also shown were Jeff and Lester negotiating for strippers for Awesome’s bachelor party (they get three fat chicks).

-the last scene we’ve seen before, Chuck sitting with Sarah telling her that one day he’s going to get the Intersect out of his head and he’s going to have the freedom to live his life and be with whoever he wants to be.
