Bones Spoilers & Specs #19 : the squeee heard round the world
welcome to the 19th official bones spoiler & speculation thread [ ... the squeee heard round the world! ] <*> = new spoilers [General Season Three Info/Spoilers]; Next up: ... (3x10 - The Santa in the Slush - Tuesday November 27th) from ask Kristin Please don't tell the children, but Santa Claus is dead. Well, on Bones at least. Look for a Christmas episode called "The Santa in the Slush," where the team investigates the murder of one Kris Kringle, occupation: mall Santa. Bonus: Booth is back to using his gun (no, his firearm, you sicko) inappropriately. One can only hope this road leads back to Stephen Fry. Also, if you're one of the Bones fans who have been emailing me for the past couple years asking, "When's Jeffersonian Institute director Goodman coming back from his so-called sabbatical?" you should turn into episode two of Women's Murder Club. Jonathan Adams plays coroner Claire's wheelchair-bound husband, and the episode shows us a little more about their marriage. Ausiello: Episode 10 — aka "The Santa in the Slush" — will be a Very Special Christmas Episode for your favorite crime procedural. When two elves find a dead guy dressed as Santa whose name is Kris Kringle, Brennan and Booth find themselves sniffing the butts of a roomful of department-store Clauses. (Don't ask.) Perhaps more pivotal to long-term story is that at the end of the episode, Brennan is headed for Peru on vacation… or is she? Question: Great photo of Booth and Bones' lip-lock! — TaMara Ausiello: Thanks, I took it myself. Question: In your vodcast last week, you mispronounced my name. It's LEE-la and not LAY-la. I am requesting an apology and any additional scoop you have on next week's Booth-Bones kiss. — Leila Ausiello: Fair enough. Please accept by sincerest apologies, Laura. I promise to be more careful next time, and I hope and pray the prattle I'm about to give you will more than make up for the emotional distress and public humiliation you suffered as a result of this entire ordeal. Just hours ago, I spoke with exec producer Barry Josephson about the circumstances surrounding Booth and Bones' big sweeps smooch (airing Nov. 27), and what David and Emily's mindset was going into it. Here's that mini-Q&A. Does the kiss stir up any emotions? Josephson: It definitely stirs up some emotions. In the episode, Booth is really a live wire, because he's having issues with his ex. And Bones is having issues with her brother and her dad. So the two of them are very raw emotionally, but I think there's a little something more going on. And I think everybody around them knows it. How long did you guys agonize over the timing of this kiss? Josephson: It was [show-runner] Hart Hanson's decision. I know it was something he was wrestling with — where to take this relationship and how far to go with it. I also know that Hart pays very close attention to the message boards and the fans of the show… and what they feel should happen to the characters. But it's our Christmas episode in our third season. I think there are expectations, and I think Hart was sort of feeling that. Were you on the set the day the scene was shot? Josephson: I was not on the set, but I was talking to both actors before and after, and they were very excited. David was almost giddy he was so excited. He and Emily are very close; they're very good friends. How many takes did they have to do? Josephson: There were a few takes. They got to smack a few times. Question: I think the Brainy Smurf that Booth gave Brennan on last week's Bones was a shout-out to you. This calls for some Bones spoilers! — Lisa Ausiello: I would've preferred a literal shout-out, but a cameo by the smartest Smurf in all the land will suffice. OK, two more scoopbits about the kiss: A third party plays an integral role in the hookup, as does the phrase "five steamboats." David Emily Kiss Interview Santa in the Slush :: Behind the Scenes Santa in the Slush B-Roll Sneak Peeks <*> NEW videos/interviews Michael Ausiello | TVGuide.com - info on THE KISS Bones Access All Areas - Sky One WRITERS STRIKE <*>BONES moves to Fridays starting January 4th, 8/7c. According to AskFOX, it appeared to be due to the writers strike, and if/when that gets resolved, the mid-season schedule will be re-evaluated. <*> "Several TV shows, including the Fox-produced series "How I Met Your Mother," are slated to wrap production on the lot Friday as their supply of available scripts runs dry, and other series also continue in production on the lot, including "Journeyman," "Bones" and "Shark." Most series have later call times of noon or so on Fridays, so even heavier-than-normal picketing would be especially disruptive then." <*>From EW: 'Bones' to shut down after 12th episode. According to a source close to the show, Fox's forensics follies drama Bones is shooting one more episode, their 12th, before shutting down due to the writers' strike. No word on whether scripts were rearranged to create a cliffhanger, but the source did say to look for an "unexpected" ending. BOOTH BRENNAN KISS INFO <*>Ausiello: The reason I've been scrimping on the Bones prattle is because I traded in three weeks of so-so spoilers for one that's so earth-shattering it could literally, well, shatter the Earth. Sources confirm to me exclusively that at some point before January, Booth and Brennan will (brace yourself for planetary obliteration) kiss! Are we still here? Did Earth explode? No? Phew. Anyway, my mole wouldn't spill the circumstances surrounding the long-awaited smooch, except to say that there is some kind of "twist" involved. Any guesses as to what that twist might be? <*> Ausiello: As I first teased in Ask Ausiello a few weeks back, Booth and Bones will indeed smack lips this season, and now you finally have proof courtesy of this exclusive, never-before-seen photo. A Fox spokesperson confirms that the episode featuring the mouth-watering twist has been rescheduled and will now air on — gulp — Nov. 27! Well, at the time, that was true. Fox — looking to spread out what few remaining Bones originals it had in the can — delayed the episode until January. But just last week, that decision was reversed and now Bones will close out November sweeps with a bang (or in this case, a buss). And because you guys have been especially well behaved this year, I have a few more glad tidings for ya — and they pertain to the circumstances surrounding the lip-lock. (As you'll recall, I warned you a few weeks ago that there was a twist involved.) • It's not a dream or a hallucination. • It has nothing to do with a case they're working on. • It's anything but quick. Bottom line: You won't be disappointed. OTHER NEW INFO <*> - In an upcoming episode, while investigating a murder case, Bones gets a little sensitive when Booth notes that one of the female suspects "got around." <*> - Daley <who plays Dr. Sweets> initially signed on only for a four-episode guest arc on "Bones," but he'll become a series regular after the 15th episode. <*> - New Kristin scoop: Leah in Boston: I need Bones news! Look for an upcoming baby-love episode in which Booth and Bones do a little babysitting and are forced to confront some parenting-related feelings, much the same way their standing-at-the-altar moment of last season forced them to confront their repressed romantic feelings for each other. [General Season Three Info]; - DAVID BOREANAZ on Changes to expect this season? We’ll also revisit last year’s buried, when they got buried in the car, the guy who did it, we’ll try and catch him. So amongst all of it though we’ll really push the character stuff. I mean Emily and I hone in on that and we’ll continue to push our relationship ever so closer to getting into bed possibly. - The Missing Episode: According to executive producer Stephen Nathan, “Player Under Pressure,” the ep that was pulled in the wake of the Virginia Tech shootings, will reworked. The new version preserves the mystery elements and will bring the romantic storyline up-to-date with the current situation on the show. Nathan expects it might air Dec. 7, and the old material (wherein Jack proposed to Angela) will hopefully appear on a DVD sometime somewhere. - Extra Eps: Stephen Nathan told me that the network definitely wants the 28-episode season (because of the potential writers‘ strike and because reruns don‘t “work“ any more), but he’s afraid post-production limitations may prevent that from actually happening. He expects no fewer than 24 eps, but 28 might be stretching it. Start sending your nudge letters now. - Hart Hanson and Stephen Nathan filled me in on the Bones crime docket for season three, and it sounds chillingly good. Hart says, "We'll go after the Gravedigger, and there is a serial killer—not the Gravedigger, but a new and different serial killer—who is slowly putting together a perfect skeleton, bone by bone, from 206 different people. So, we've got to catch him before he gets his 206 bones and completes his skeleton. It's great—it's in the season opener." - Scene Shots: According to exec producer Barry Josephson, they built out the FBI set this season, so look for more focus on the federales. - "Do you remember that Vanished show with Gale Harold from last season that vanished from the airwaves? I hear that the mystery from that show is going to be resolved on Bones this season. Fabulous, yes?" - From E Online - ''The show is a little bit eccentric. And we all like it that way,'' says creator Hart Hanson. Dude, Hart — you think a program which casts a member of ZZ Top as someone's dad is eccentric? Agreed! ''We're introducing in the season opener a serial killer, who'll [be around] most of the season.'' Also, Ryan O'Neal returns as star Emily Deschanel's dad. ''We love Ryan. He's really fun, like having a great big huge movie star on your show.'' And how much longer can the drama (now in its third year) maintain the sexual tension between Deschanel's Bones and David Boreanaz's Booth? ''As long as we can do it without pissing off our audience,'' says Hanson. ''The stock thing to do is put them together and then break 'em up again. And we'd like to be not-stock.'' No worries there. – From Entertainment Weekly <*> Kristin at E! has a new spoiler: Mel in Beverly Hills, Michigan: Bones! Bones! Bones! I'm hearing a bad guy from Booth and Brennan's past returns to the show sometime soon. [Booth/Brennan related]; ** Ausiello - The reason I've been scrimping on the Bones prattle is because I traded in three weeks of so-so spoilers for one that's so earth-shattering it could literally, well, shatter the Earth. Sources confirm to me exclusively that at some point before January, Booth and Brennan will (brace yourself for planetary obliteration) kiss! Are we still here? Did Earth explode? No? Phew. Bottom line: You won't be disappointed. ** From TV GUIDE - What's next? More of those looks. And the liplock? "We'll wait until January", teases exec producer Hart Hanson. "It's in the New Year. It's going to be fascinating to see them get closer, but also frustrating." ** “We want to keep them apart as long as we can without annoying the audience, and there’s a number of ways to do that. And we use a number of little steam valves to release the release the pressure.“ Boreanaz (Seeley Booth) snickers at this, and Hart shoots back, “I didn’t mean masturbation, David!” Also, according to Ms. Emily Deschanel (Dr. Temperance Brennan), this season the show explores “how being left at the altar affected them.” ** Scoop! Regarding a possible Booth and Brennan romance: "The show is just starting to tap into the relationship of these two characters," says David Boreanaz. Adds Emily Deschanel: "We're growing deeper of friends this season." ** Big scoop! Hanson on Booth/Brennan: "We want to keep them apart as long as we can without annoying the audience, and there are a number of ways to do that. There are certain steam valves you can use to relieve the pressure, and we plan on using every one of them... But it's Season 3. We better see something." ** Pressure releases for the Booth-Bones sexual tension may include more “third parties.” [Angela/Hodgins related]; ** Squint Love: According to Michaela Conlin (Angela Montenegro) about Angela and Jack‘s romance, “Angela is not one to be pinned down, she’s a free spirit who really fell in love. We’ve been working on finding my ex-husband. It should be pretty interesting.” My man, TJ Thyne (Dr. Jack Hodgins), meanwhile, says, “I think Jack is madly, deeply and passionately in love with her.” All together now: Awww… [Character Related]; ** Daley <who plays Dr. Sweets> initially signed on only for a four-episode guest arc on "Bones," but he'll become a series regular after the 15th episode. ** And this year we meet some of Booth's family—his high-achieving brother, his father who doesn't understand him and his sainted grandfather. Booth: No. You thinking about your Dad? Brennan: No. Russ. Booth: You can't blame him for not wanting those girls to know the truth Brennan: He's living a lie. You'd never do that. Booth: Not never. I lie to Parker, especially at this time of the year. Brennan: About what? <apparantly Brennan, Parker, and Booth are together> Brennan: Actually, Peru is - Booth: Africa, right Bones? I'm going to be fine. So go wash your hands. Be ready when your mom comes to get you. <Booth Parker hug, Parker goes to wash up> Brennan: You lied a LOT to him. Booth: It's the magic of Christmas, Bones. (3x09 - The Baby in the Bough - TBA) Booth and Brennan investigate the scene where a car was run off the road and the victim’s body deliberately burned beyond recognition. When the team hears muffled whimpering during the site investigation, they find the victim’s baby miraculously perched in a tree above the scene of the crash. The team designates Brennan as the infant’s caretaker, but when the baby swallows a key piece of evidence, they question her nurturing skills. The team soon identifies the victim as a laborer who worked in a tire-recycling factory in a small, impoverished town in Virginia, and Brennan and Booth venture out to investigate who might have wanted her dead. Their suspicions range from her deadbeat husband to the impecunious habitants of her town. Meanwhile, the team is fascinated by the presence of a baby in the lab and its affinity for Brennan in “The Baby in the Bough” episode of BONES airing Tuesday, Nov. 27 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. Booth and Brennan venture to the hometown of a woman whose car was run off the road and whose baby miraculously survived the accident and try to find out who wanted her dead - New Kristin scoop: Leah in Boston: I need Bones news! Look for an upcoming baby-love episode in which Booth and Bones do a little babysitting and are forced to confront some parenting-related feelings, much the same way their standing-at-the-altar moment of last season forced them to confront their repressed romantic feelings for each other. {sides} Sides Quotes: Brennan: He looks so peaceful - he has no idea that he's alone. Booth: Maybe that wasn't his mom. Maybe there's still a Dad. Brennan: No one has filed a report booth. No one is worrying about him. <As brennan looks at the baby> Booth: You are. <This makes Brennan uncomfortable. Fortunately .. she notices something else..[or something like that]> Booth I'm going to miss that litttle guy. And you will too.. so don't deny it. <insert Brennan saying some anthropological explanation> Booth: Yeah. So. what do you think? Change your mind about having kids? Brennan: Booth. (3x11 - The Man in the Mud - TBA) {sides} Sides Quotes: (3x12 - The Wannabe in the Weeds - TBA) {sides} Sides Quotes: Brennan: There is a fine line between healthy and vanity. Booth: Huh? Brennan: The obsession with physical perfection clouds a society's moral vision. Take Rome in its final days, or the Aztecs -- You're ogling that woman. Booth: What? No. I'm looking at her routine. It's obviously working for her. __________________

Wow, it's been a long time since I've been here. I had to give up FF for a bit, but if anything could bring me back it's Bones. Oh, and I never used to be spoiled for this show, but I gave in, lol
I had to come post about next weeks kiss. I'll warn you now...lots of over analyzing has taken place, lol Watching the promo, and B/B leaning in to kiss and how slow and perfect it is and then comparing it to the still picture we have...I'm thinking (or rather hoping) that there might be 2 kisses involved. The promo kiss doesn't look rushed or like Bones is being aggressive, but in the still, the way Bones has her hands gripped around Booth's lapels of his jacket makes me think that after the first, soft, Mistletoe kiss, she just couldn't get enough and grabs Booth by the lapels and brings him in for another, longer, sweeter kiss. Ok, I know, like I said I'm probably just hoping and over analyzing too much, but what if Bones wanting more is what brings on some of the confusion she and Booth feel afterwards? It could happen...right? (don't break my heart by telling me no, lol) ETA: Thanks for the new thread __________________
