THE HUMPHREYS AND VAN DER WOODSENS SHARE THANKSGIVING — When Dan (Penn Badgley) hears that Serena (Blake Lively) and her family are spending Thanksgiving alone at The Palace, he naively invites them to spend the holiday with his family, creating an uncomfortable situation for Rufus (Matthew Settle) and Lily (Kelly Rutherford) whose children are unaware of their complicated romantic history. Meanwhile, Blair’s (Leighton Meester) emotions spiral out of control when she learns that her father isn’t coming home for Thanksgiving. Nate (Chace Crawford) spends the holiday with his mom (guest star Francie Swift) and dad (guest star Sam Robards), but their awkward dinner quickly goes from bad to worse. Taylor Momsen also stars. Although (thank you sweet Jesus Imitation of Christ) new episodes will air tomorrow night and next week, the L.A. Times is reporting that the CW only has 13 of the 22 planned episodes for 2007–2008 in the can, which means that, depending on how long the strike lasts, we could run out of new episodes by February. And do you know what that means? It means that we won't get to see the Very Special Valentine's Day episode in which Serena's brother and Jenny finally, adorably hook up and Blair wears lingerie again and Dan constructs an elaborate holiday surprise for Serena which adorably fails. {courtesy of Kaleiokalani}

As all you Ausiello Scoop newsletter subscribers first learned yesterday, Gossip Girl is introducing Serena's "wealthy, manipulative and larger-than-life" grandmother — a role that sounds tailor-made for a certain acid-tongued Gilmore Girls matriarch named Kelly Bishop. No worries, I'm on the case. I've already contacted both exec producer Josh Schwartz and Bishop's agent. With any luck, I'll be able to announce something offical in next week's Ask Ausiello.

Guys, in the promo for next episode the guy and girl playing around is Nate and Serena. Makes me SO excited. Its the flashbacks scene right?? It still makes me happy that they are still thinking about NS and that flashbacks of them together will show that it was not a "one" night random thing...

Yeah, it's the scene where Blair finds Serena drunk in a bar and brings her to her house and Blair's dad tells her to let her get in the shower but Blair tells Nate to take her up instead.

I can't wait to see what Serena was like back then. I wasn't much of a fan of hers in the books but since this show has a tendency not to follow the books too much, it should be interesting to watch.

I don't think we knew for sure, you're right he might be in that episode afterall. Which makes me happy.

Sandy, that scene is from ep 10. It's misleading. I don't -think- he is in it. Since he wasn't part of the credits of the episode.

But I'm hoping otherwise. Even just a short scene!
