COMPILATION OF NCIS SPOILERS

Navy Criminal Investigative Services, is the new JAG spin-off from Donald Bellasrio for CBS this fall, taking the Tuesday 8:00 timeslot formerly slated to JAG. Official CBS Website for Naval CIS NAVAL CIS (Naval Criminal Investigative Service) stars Mark Harmon ("The West Wing," "Chicago Hope"), Michael Weatherly ("Dark Angel") and David McCallum ("The Man from U.N.C.L.E.") in an action drama inspired by the hit series JAG, about a team of special agents whose mission is to investigate any crime that has a shred of evidence connected to Navy and Marine Corps personnel, regardless of rank or position. Leading this team that operates outside the military chain of command is NCIS Special Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs (Harmon), a skilled investigator and interrogator who is smart, tough and willing to bend the rules to get the job done. Working under Gibbs is Agent Anthony Dinozzo (Weatherly), a former homicide detective who joined NCIS just a few years ago, but who has instincts that can come only from working on the streets. Joining them is Agent Abby Sciuto (Pauley Perrette), a gifted forensic scientist whose dark wit matches her goth-style hair and clothes, and Dr. Donald "Ducky" Mallard (McCallum), a medical examiner. From murder and espionage to terrorism and stolen submarines, these special agents traverse the globe to investigate all crimes with Navy or Marine Corps ties. Starring: Sasha Alexander (character name to be announced) who is taking the place as a female lead from Actress Robyn Lively who appeared in the pilot episodes (seen on "JAG). Mark Harmon as Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs David McCallum as Dr. Theodore Ducky (Old old pic) Pauley Perrette as Agent Abby Sciuto Michael Weatherly as Agent Anthony Dinozzo [ 01-18-2004: Message edited Wildfire Girl ] __________________

Info from Kip about the title:
Q. NAVAL N.C.I.S. (A.K.A. N.C.I.S.) (CBS) - The Eye network has changed the title for its upcoming "J.A.G." spin-off yet again. Originally "N.C.I.S.," the series has been titled "Navy C.I.S.," then "Naval C.I.S.," then reverted back to "N.C.I.S." and now has apparently settled on "Navy N.C.I.S." Is this true or is your last e-mail on the subject still correct? A. It is unfortunately true. DPB has always wanted NCIS. CBS wanted Navy CIS. DPB said it's not Navy Criminal Investigative Service...it's Naval Criminal Investigative Service. CBS didn't understand the difference, but changed it to NAVAL CIS to please DPB who wasn't pleased and continued to bug them. CBS said, "How about JAG-NCIS"? DPB said, "No!" CBS finally relented and said okay to NCIS. DPB cheered. He'd won! But, wait. Bruckheimer calls CBS and says people think he's putting on another version of CSI! (Guess there are more dyslexics out there than we thought.) CBS, not wanting to anger Bruckheimer or DPB, changes the name to Navy NCIS. If you're wondering about the logic behind this, so is DPB. It will only be NAVY NCIS for a short while and then the NAVY will be dropped. It will never be referred to in the episodes as anything but NCIS. By the way, at the last minute to confuse them further. DPB said, "Hey, let's call it BRAVO ZULU." CBS said, "Huh?" __________________

I'm sure that isn't what they want. They'll want to play up the Navy angle and make the show unique. But I'm sure they wont turn down the viewers who tune in cause they think it'll be CSI like.

Indeed, with the succes of CSI, I don't think DPB would mind the success carrying over, but I know he wants it to be a stand alone show, and CSI producers are concerned people will associate the two together!

Yes, you know me too well. For now, basically the info on the regular thread is about the same as what we have hear ... general show info.
I imagine we'll get spoilers as the show filming gets underway. __________________

I don't watch JAG, it just never interested me.
However, I'm looking forward to this show, it sounds like a militarized version of CSI (which is one of my favorite shows). I like Mark Harmon and am definitely looking forward to seeing Michael Weatherly again. |

Thank you for the info NLA.
IAmInCS, I do believe that is the *appeal* the show is looking at, in addition to drawing current JAG fans. Did you by chance see its *pilot* in the JAG eppies in April? Katiebear, I'm in your boat about not being sure I want to invest in another show. But who knows *shrug* I may tune in to a few eppies, and I imagine if I do, I'll be stuck! __________________

KatieBear, love, Cooper, but way, way, sexier. He actually has a brain in this show. It was a shame about him and Steffi- isn't she on AMC as Mia now? But Casey and the Blond are on GL now. Oh, where hast thou gone o my loving. Noticed that its replacement, PC, got cancelled, heh, heh, revenge is a dish best served cold. Seriously though, MH (Hello salty goodness!) and MW. Just call me Plenty O'Drool. __________________
