I can see why they were hesitant during those years between Tony and Ziva. Although in the end, they were very blantant, and yet they didn't want to pull the trigger and they suffered because of that because eventually contracts got in the way, and one left, and then both so they were forced to give some closure to it.

I think it could have worked. But the the first decade, they were worried about what it meant for the show, and so they never did it. And suffered because of it.

Now with Nick and Bishop or Gibbs and Sloane, they could do it because it doesn't have to change things. But it would be little more difficult due to the team dynamic.

So I am curious to see whee it goes.
