"Dark Night Of The Scarecrow" is a 1981 made for TV movie. Local Bubba (Larry Drake), is a mentally handicapped man who has a close friendship with a young girl. When something happens, a group of vigilante friends (led by the great Charles Durning) mistakenly think Bubba is to blame and take justice into their own hands. Soon, that "justice" comes back to seek revenge on the men.

The movie has since become a cult favorite among horror fans for it's eerie atmosphere and non made for TV feeling and tone.
