Yes, it's so sad and tragic... No transport is 100 percent safe, but still, it's shocking how one of the safest forms of transport doesn't seem to be that safe..

It seems it's more to do with the co-pilot, which is so shockingly terrible

It is unnerving indeed, and it's not only him - everybody considers the whole team machines or robots, especially after the World Cup match against Brazil. And the expectations are sooo high, which is unfair, because they're athletes, but people too. I have taken part in only one tennis tournament in my life, and even though it was for beginners, so to say, it was soo tense and stuff, it's easy for one to talk how athletes behave, it's totally different to be out there and have to live up to all expectations.

This just reminds me of that interview where the press were being snarky about this, and Julian Draxler came out with 'We're not robots!'
Love that kid, such delivery and totally true. The media need to know when to back off and not over-step boundaries.

Otherwise, the game was strange in a way - I definitely did not expect such a line-up from Löw. I understand that he's probably keeping some of the big boys, so to say, for the qualifier match, but it was still strange. Höwedes's gestures at the beginning of the match and during it again proved how wonderful a person he is, I am still melting

I don't think anyone expected that line up, but I suppose he [Jogi] has to try different 11's together to find out the strong/weak points, so it's not a bad way to do it in a friendly. When you consider that starting 11 had 2 guys who haven't played in the NT in a couple of years, and some others that are quite new to the NT, they didn't do completley awful - they did create chances, they just somehow managed to mess 'em up
PLUS, I do think there was a little underestimating the Socceroos, which was a bad idea because they don't have a team that will just accept defeat; they play well, and they do attack - as they showed. I'm sure the line up will be different for the game against Georgia, but as for friendlies - though it is no good for my heart at times - I don't mind seeing the others come in and try out.
Höwedes was such a sweetheart that entire game. His gesture for the flight, and his handing the Captaincy over to Mesut was so lovely. He always seems such a darling.
