Well, in my country it's usually movies from other countries, as there's very little money for the movie industry unless you manage to get finances from abroad. There have been some big hits in the theatres though in the last few years (neither of them that I would like) although personally I prefer older movies, from the 60s and 70s.

But usually people watch Hollywood movies, as most cinemas are extremely oriented towards that, mostly towards blockbusters. There are also some specialised movie theatres for European movies, but unfortunately only in the capital. Luckily that means I can go there. And then there's the movie festival once a year, which is extremely popular and which shows movies from all over the world that otherwise wouldn't be getting into our theatres.

It is very hard to see any German movies though, apart from maybe on the telly. I found this actor through a German TV show that's been shown on our national TV and then I bought the DVDs while in Germany to be able to watch all the seasons so far. There's this love story of a girl who's been in love with this guy since childhood even though he played the macho type all through high school. And then they went separate ways, but she never forgot about him. And now they both end up working at the same hospital. And well, she falls in love with him again and he is fighting feelings at first, but they got their Happy End at the end of Season 3, which is the last season so far. But a 4th one is apparently due to start filming at the beginning of next year, which makes me really excited as it'll be shown on the national Austrian TV, which we are able to watch via cable
