I agree with the obsessive ship bit
it's most of the reason I still watched some of the soaps I watched, just because I think FINALLY my doomed ship will happen, but one usually dies and it just blows. Like in Skins, I thought I'd shipped the winning couple at first...then series 4 happened and I forced myself to watch in the hopes of something good
