I think there were several moments the writers could’ve explored Noel and Elena. Early S4 would have been perfect after Elena called off the wedding and Noel is figuring out his life.

Yes, we could’ve seen him have a breakdown of sorts with his money, depression, or career path. It would have been ripe given all the signs of Noel having a breakdown of sorts.

It amazes me how much I like Noel when he’s not thinking he wants Felicity romantically. It is seriously like night and day. I like him around everyone else. It’s like a light switch goes off for me. He’s having a scene with anyone else and I totally like him. He’s anywhere near Felicity and the insinuation is more than friends on his end and I watch through gritted teeth.
