Taylor Swift is friendly with Brittany Mahomes, Patrick Mahomes’s wife who is a Trump-supporter.

People were trying to blast her for this but 1) Patrick is the teammate of Travis, so its not like its someone she can simply avoid
and 2) Knowing republicans or being acquainted with them doesn't mean anything. i know many people i am forced to work with that are republicans. for example, the family i used to nanny for had trump stickers on their fridge. I was very friendly with the wife, who was neutral and actually her husband was super nice too. I dont agree at all with their politics but i wasnt going to quit the job. If they want to pay me good money then so be it. It doesnt mean I respect their opinions at all. a lot of the families that take dance at my studio are republican too. I dont respect their policies but i am not going to create drama and lose business.
So I think its pretty insane to just expect Taylor to cut out every single person that is being "cancelled". She herself knows what its like to deal with terrible drama and rumors, so im sure shes giving her friends the benefit of the doubt.
If one of my friends said something stupid in the media i wouldnt just cut them off entirely. (depending on what it is) i would want to reach out and get their side of the story.

You are also right about Nancy sort of responding but how much of that was Nancy just remembering a first crush/love? That is the thing... you never forget the one you have real feelings for ever. That is Steve for Nancy.

Her looks to him were def. romantic. It wasn't just remembering the old times. If it was all Steve convos with other people about Nancy maybe. If it was just that one conversation in the truck, then sure. But we saw 2/3 times where Nancy was staring at Steve, like when he took his shirt off in the lake? Like, that is totally unnecessary. To me, that was showing very clear signs she was starting to pine for him again.
I also dont know if N/J were not working JUST because the distance? Because they didnt even really try to call each other very often. Nancy seemed irritated with him a lot. And it felt like Jonathan just wanted to break up with her because he was moving on, not that it was the distance forcing the issues???
Again, they can fix this by having Nancy admit that she felt lonely when Jonathan was gone, and she was starting to think she might still like Steve simply because they were spending time together. (Tho I still think that would ultra weird writing!) And if that happens then I think the purpose was ALL because they wanted to find more ways to stall Nancy/Jonathan so they have some sort of storyline for them in the final season I guess. I really really really hope that is the case. But as a steve fan it does suck that he keeps getting hurt by Nancy? Why do they keep dragging this through the mud? Which is why now I feel like Steve might sacrifice himself for Nancy and end up dying. Because I think its highly unbelievable he would fall for someone else.

I also think the Will/Mike fans are going to be disappointed. I just don't see Mike as struggling with his sexuality or being into guys... yet that is.

I've seen Byler fans just CONVINCED that Mike likes him and is hiding feelings and they were "flirty" in scenes and I think its just... such a stretch. Even if they didnt make mike/eleven so meaningful over the seasons, I dont see m/w as anything other than platonic right now. Yes Will likes him, but Mike has only ever been his good friend. Now, same could be said here... why have Will develop feelings if its not going to go anywhere. But unlike the N/S scenes imo where its clear Nancy is giving Steve pining looks too, we have NOT seen any sort of implication that Mike reciprocates. I think the purpose here could just be Will coming to accept who he is, potentially letting Mike know how he feels, and then being able to move on. Cuz I just cannot see a mike/will kiss AT ALL. The most i could see here is a hint that maybe Mike reciprocates and only if mike/eleven decide they are growing out of their feelings. (but again, dont see that happening as Eleven has clearly been shown to really love mike and vice versa) like holding hands or something, but thats about it really.

You are also right that if they fast forward to the future at the end of the series anything can happen.

This is really whats going to determine a lot I think. Because writers use flashfowards to change things a lot. Like on true blood, seeing sookie end up with a random guy with kids lmao. I could see them doing that with steve if they want to, like showing all his kids running around and stuff and jon/nancy getting married or soemthing. Who knows. I am not married to anything but i do think its a possibility to also be disappointed. We also dont know who could potentially die. I still think they will be too scared to kill anyone major off lol.
