Cam Heyward is sitting out the voluntary practices and OTA required events, he is basically going on strike because he wants a retirement contract signed before the season starts in August. Cam is 35 and says he can play three more seasons, he wants a three season contract so he'll finish his entire career as a Steeler. while i totally sympathize with him, i'm not sure the front office will give him a deal. does he deserve it, yes and i hope he gets to retire as a Steeler, but this new general manager is playing hardball, and will probably let him go sadly. i could be wrong, but holding out at 35 is not making points with the new boss. Hines Ward pulled that stunt, but still went to OTAs and training camp and ended up getting a team friendly contract deal to retire as a Steeler.
