As someone who is not passionately invested in Lorelai’s love life I don’t mind Chris in the beginning. I think they have a very natural chemistry together and they are very believable as a couple that have a long complicated history.
As for RL I just don’t buy whatever they are trying to sell me. Rory has never been remotely interested in any young man in Emily’s circle…and yet I am supposed to believe she desperately wants this one
. It’s just all too forced and based on surface level stuff and I could never become invested in them.
