I do appreciate that this is the state of Lorelai and Christopher's relationship in the revival. They have a generic email relationship, of which Christopher doesn't bother to keep up with. Honestly, it's how it should be. They don't need to be in each other's lives now and really never did once Rory was an adult. Especially one she was graduated from college.
