But she doesn’t want to be a part of the Lantern corps due to some circumstances that happened, which we’ll see in flashbacks,” Jemisin said. “When she’s given the chance to be a Lantern but not a part of the corps … she actually leaps at the chance, because she’s thinking it’s her chance to do justice without all the bureaucracy and without all of the organizational politics.
