A big fat WORD to that. Haven't seen it in ages, but I absolutely love this movie. I cried my eyes out and I think what makes it brilliant is that it was the people Tristan (Brad Pitt) loved the most that died first (first his brother, then his wife and son, then his impossible love)...tragic but awesome.

And to think I was gonna start a thread for this movie today...
This is by far my favorite Brad Pitt movie ever -- I can never watch it too many times. Next to Fight Club it's definitely Brad's hottest movie as well. How can you not love a man named Tristan??? Besides, it's such a fantastic cast; on top of the ensemble, Brad and Anthony are magical together (most magnificently seen in Meet Joe Black). It's even got Aidan Quinn and Henry Thomas (ELLIOT!) -- brilliant. Legends is probably one of my favorite movies of all time. |

i agree with all of you. This is one of the best tearjerker movies ive ever seen. Brad Pitt's acting was AWESOME and the rest of the cast was great too. The story was just so heartwrenching but it was told so well. It was just so sad to compare how happy the brothers were at the beginning then to see how they ended up. GREAT MOVIE.

I just got this on DVD....It's awesome.
One thing bugs me about this movie, though...Julia Ormond...wasn't she too old to be marrying Samuel? She looked it, to me.. Claudia __________________

I have to agree that this is my favorite Brad Pitt movie. I can never get tired watching it and I've already seen it many times. The cast is great and the storyline is even better.
I loved tha Brad Pitt's character, Tristan, ended up marrying the young girl that was the daughter of the servants that lived w/ them. I felt bad for the other girl that was in love w/ Tristan and even worse for the other brother who was in love w/ her. __________________

Yes, this was an excellent movie! I loved the cinematography and music, too.
Brad Pitt did such a good job of being very disturbed...he was heartbreaking. I didn't like Julia Ormond...I thought she was annoying and ruined things. *shrugs* I liked Elizabeth II. The scene where Samuel dies is HAUNTING. So is the scene where Tristan is galloping his horse back and forth and back and forth in front of his grave. 'It was a good death.' *sigh* __________________

What's everyone's favourite scene from the movie?
I have'nt seen this film in a long time but I always remember the one where Tristian comes back to give a ring to the 'little' girl and it does'nt fit her. __________________
