Off Topic - Natural Foods?

There's this Natural Foods Co-op across the street, where I have to run to in a minute. Personally, I hate "natural" foods. They cost about three times as much as the good ol' factory-produced stuff, and the taste...

I made the mistake of buying some cottage cheese over there. One bite, and

...I'm going over there for sugar, cuz I'm out, and even they can't screw up refined white sugar.

Anyway, I was just wondering what everyone thinks about natural foods...yummy? Blech? or Ehhhh?

I had natural peanut butter once and it was

Greasy and slimy...

I had organic carrots once and they were good...of course a bag of carrots was almost $5.

I cant have penut butter though. I cant digest it.

I love organic food -- I pretty much only eat organic fruit/vegetables. I'm not into like "weird" food -- but I like to eat the same food I like, just in organic form!

i have natural peanut butter. To me, it's not so bad.

I try to eat as many natural or organic foods as possible. Of course they taste different, they don't have all the **** companies put in their foods these days. You just have to get used to the taste. Eventually your taste buds will adjust.

i like to buy the organic fruits and vegetables and for the most part i eat organic. lately i've been getting organic eggs, milk, cereal, and most of my food products are organic. because they don't have preservatives and other additives in them, they aren't as flavored sometimes....but that's okay. it's better for you in the long run to eat organic than eat all the stuff they add into "normal" food.

even if i go back to eating (some more) meat, i'd buy free-range meats so as to avoid all the hormones they pump into chickens and stuff.

Have you noticed how low fat stuff and healthy food for you is much more expensive to buy than the really high in fat stuff is? It's like America punishes you about money when you try to do better. Look at gas prices! And money wages are getting higher where you work it seems.

Me too! I only eat cage free eggs now...and I really think they taste better.

Now when I try to eat fast food or really any kind of fried food it just tastes like grease. Ew!

Some organic food is good. I heart Jamba and I love their food, some stuff is crap though.
