Newborn Boy Is Tossed Out A Car Window In Florida By The Associated Press (02/10/05 - NORTH LAUDERDALE, FL) — A newborn believed to be only hours old was tossed out a car window onto a street Thursday afternoon, and the car sped off, authorities said. The boy was rescued by a woman passing by in her car. The child was in critical condition at a hospital, sheriff's spokesman Jim Leljedal said. "He's doing remarkably well and we're hopeful that he'll recover," Leljedal said. Authorities searched for two people who may been nearby at the time. Copyright 2005 by The Associated Press. Yeah, I saw this on the news (I live in Florida) and they said the baby didn't even have a bruise on him but then they showed a picture of him and he has a cast on his arm..so I think they got twisted with the facts...but yeah. People suck.

What I don't get is that Florida has a law where you can go into a firehouse or a hospital and hand over your newborn no questions asked. This woman dumped her kid, then called it into the police. Why go through all that when you can simply hand it in without risking jail time?

All that did was make it a headline story.
People need to grow up and take care of their children. Period. The things people do to their children now outrages me.  __________________
