Immortal beloved was the best I've seen him in but I also thought he was mega sexy in Bram Stokers... the scene with Wynona Ryder to absolutely die for!!!!!

He was heartbreaking in Immortal Beloved, but my particular other favorites are Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead and Prick Up Your Ears. His mainstream stuff I don't really care for and I have to admit that although I love his work I think he seriously overacted in PoA.
Also, I've always wanted to see his directorial debut but because the subject matter is so heavy I've been a little too timid - life is tragic enough, you know? (which I suppose was his point) __________________

Leon is my favourite Gary Oldman movie. He plays his part so well, and you really do end up hating the character with a passion. Brilliantly acted.

Gary Oldman is a brilliant actor, and I wish there were more films with him it right now.
My favorite? That's difficult...so I'll just list off memorable films that caught my attention, since he's such a chameleon. 1. Sid & Nacy Awesome movie that showcases Oldman's ability to transform into a character so rivetingly. Here Oldman portrays Sid Vicious, a guitarist for the Sex Pistols. 2. Leon: The Professional Gawd, he played an amazing good cop/bad cop role. What makes this film great is how well Natalie Portman ( she made her debut in this film) plays off his violatile character. 3. True Romance Who thought Oldman could manage to play off a thug? At first it's a shock to see him so transformed! Those who have seen this movie will know what I mean. It's a classic Tarantino film, and full action. and the rest as follows... 4. Basquiat ( a biopic on the legendary 80's artist, whose abstract paintings, were made popular with help of Andy Warhol. ) 5. Dracula (He's the best modern version...very seductive in this role.) 6 Immortal Beloved (Although not completely historically accurate, this film romanticises the life of Beethoven as well as attempts to discover the identity of his secret love.) __________________

I watched Jesus just yesterday. Pontius Pilate is definitely much more likable in the movie than in the Bible...
But my favourite has to be PoA as well. I just love the way Sirius ad Severus interact. "Oh, go and play with your chemistry set, Snape!" Pity he has to die so soon... I'd love to see The Scarlet Letter. I had to read the bookfor my literature class and just than remembered that Gary was in the movie. I remember that I saw it once. But that's ages ago nd I can't really remember anything. __________________
