Ray (2004) #1 - "Hit the Road Jack."

Did anyone see this film? I thought it was really good. Jamie Foxx did an incredible job.

I think it's going to be a while `til they show it here in my country, but I saw previews and features and oh! 'Can't wait! I'm looking forward to the musical numbers, too, try to see where they "really" got the songs.

Jaime Foxx is developing into an Actor. Not just a comedian who does movies. Something Eddie and Jim haven't been able to do.

I haven't seen it, but i want to.

This is a great movie! I've seen it twice and each time I loved it! It opened my eyes to Ray Charles because it touched on things I never would have thought about him. Before seeing the movie I just always thought of him as this nice, sweet old piano playing blind man but after the movie it's like...he was so much more than that.

I loved it! I recommend seeing it like RIGHT NOW.

If Jamie Foxx doesn't get an Oscar that will be really screwed. The supporting actors also did get jobs in their roles.

I saw the movie this weekend w/my mom and a couple of our friends and all of us really liked it.

I hope that Jamie Foxx does recieve an Oscar for his work but if he doesn't I seriously think he will have gotten screwed.

I think the actress who played Bea should also be nominated along with the actress who played his mother. She was amazing. Regina King also did very well.

The actress who played Bea has been good in all her films to date. I mostly remember her from "Save the last dance"

I recently saw this and I have to say I agree. Jamie Foxx should get an Oscar, he was so good.

What was your favorite thing about the movie?

I saw 'Ray' this afternoon, and I was really impressed with Jamie Foxx's performance. I remember him from "Living Color" reruns. I never would have recognized him as the same actor who played Ray Charles.

The movie suffered from some draggy biopic moments, but Foxx was always believable. It must have taken a lot of work to learn how to move like a blind person, and speak with such an unusual cadence.

My favorite parts were watching him work on new songs, as in the studio, or the night where he ran out of material early and improvised "What I Say" on the spot. I'm always curious about how creative artists develop their ideas into a complete work of art.

I didn't know that he refused to play segregated venues after the early '60's.
