Gah, I can't wait for this movie! The trailer at www.apple.com/trailers is so awesome. I love the music, too. Damien Rice and Suzanne Vega.

I'm really really excited about this movie too...maybe cuz I've always been a big Natalie/Jude shipper in the fact that I've been dying to see them in a movie together. They were the best thing about Cold Mountain and that cute moment that starts out the trailer was adorable...but I can't believe that Jude's character would cheat on her with Julia Roberts...uh, that's craziness to me...Natalie is just so beautiful and cool...anyways, I think everybody sounds so great in this movie (minus Julia Roberts cuz she doesn't fit like everybody else - would have rather had Cate Blanchett in the role.)

I'm dying to see this movie. I saw the trailer online and I'm obsessed now. Jude+Natalie=pretty! Plus that Clive Owen ain't too bad-looking either, and I've always liked Julia Roberts.

Being that it's a Mike Nichols film, this isn't "teeny bopper" stuff (no offense) in that while it has a good cast, it's core story is again, something adults can relate to... Although, it does bring up the notion of what is love in that is love really long term committments... Or is lust actually the best kind of love because you are giving so much of "yourself" to the person at that moment? Also... This should be Clive's "break out" role, or at least one that makes him more mainstream (in the U.S.) because "King Arthur" didn't do that well and they marketed the film around Kiera instead of him. Yup, I would be so into a Natalie/Jude shipper thread...just at least of them to be in as many movies as they can together...their on-screen chemistry freaking sizzles...just that sweet moment in Cold Mountain where he comforts her means more to me than the love scene between him and Nicole...I so love Nat/Jude!

Closer
I didn't see a thread for this movie, so I thought I'd start one.
I saw Closer last night with my boyfriend. I'm still not really sure what to think of it. It was good, I guess. Very... dark, in a way. It wasn't what I was expecting. But I enjoyed it. And my boyfriend LOVED it. I thought the acting was great... especially Natalie Portman. This was not a role I'd ever think to see her in. What did you guys think?  __________________
