Heathers (1988) #1: They're all swatch dogs and diet coke heads.

Welcome to the Heathers Appreciation thread! I loved this movie so much. Any other Heathers fans out there?

Hey there - could you resize the image, please. It's distorting the thread.

Thanks.

And yes, I'm a Heathers fan, although I often don't care for Winona Ryder (this was still back in the day when I liked her). It's a classic and of course I own a copy!

Also, it was clearly an inspiration for Mean Girls which was amazingly funny but lacked the satire and bite of Heathers.

Heathers was an awesome movie, Mean Girls doesn't even compare to it. Christian Slater was great in this movie, him and Winona Ryder had great chemistry.

Well, I know I don't know you and you're probably not what you seem
Aw, but I'd sure like to find out
So why don't you climb down off that movie screen?

I totally agree. Heathers is just so brilliantly crafted. The comedy, the characters. Christian Slater and Winona had such great chemistry. This is probably one of my fave films ever.

This is definitely a classic and I agree with the comment about inspiring Mean Girls. They definitely tried to borrow from Heathers.

This was back when I really liked Winona Ryder, Christian Slater and Shannon Daugherty The casting was absolutely perfect and the writing is great - there are some awesome one liners in there.

This is a great movie. A definite cult classic. And the one liners are priceless.

Heather said life sucks losers dry....if you wanna f**k with eagles....you gotta learn to fly....and I said...you're beautiful.

F**k me gently with a chainsaw

The Heathers is one of my favorite movies of all time. It's right up there with Reality Bites. I remember watching it for the first time and just thinking "this is brilliant". It was like every single line was my favorite and I can still quote the best ones, and I do whenever I get the chance. My favorite line would have to be "F**k me gently with a chainsaw. Do I look like Mother Theresa to you?"

Heathers is one of my all-time favorite movies. It's just so wickedly funny. Mean Girls wasn't even half as good.

This is a great movie.

Heathers isn't an inspiration for "Mean Girls", actually.

Mean Girls is based on a non-fiction book called "Queenbees and Wannabes" that was published a few years ago.

It just so happens the way girls behave and act in high school hasn't changed much in 20 years, probably won't for another 20 and was that way long before Heathers came along

My favorite line was when the macho dad gives the eulogy at his Jock son's funeral and falls onto the open casket and says:

"I love my dead-Gay son!"
