Raising Helen (2004) #1

Helen Harris (Kate Hudson) is living the high life in New York City and working for a top-modeling agency, when her sister and brother-in-law die in an auto accident. Her good times are over when she gets a letter from her sister's attorney. Helen has been given custody of her sister's three children. Helen has never raised any children, and she thinks her older sister, Jenny (Joan Cusack) is better qualified to raise the children. Helen accepts the custody of the three children, and they move to a new apartment in Queens. Helen loved staying out late and going to nightclubs, but she now has to take care of the children. Helen is forced to change her lifestyle and become a real mom, which in turn gets her fired from her glamorous job. In the end, Helen learns what is really important in life. This is a heartwarming and cute comedy that will make you tear up. It is the type of movie that your girlfriend or wife will drag her mate to see. In other words, it will appeal more to women than men. (Touchstone Pictures, Run time 1:59, Rated PG-13)

I gotta say it was a great movie but it was more of a drama then a comedy. Kate Hudson did do a great job and they casted this movie very well.

I really didn't like it too much at all. Just got home from seeing it with my mom. I thought it'd be a little better than it actually was.

I might go to see this film when it comes out over here, although I'm not the biggest fan of Kate Hudson. It just sounds quite a good story.

I thoguht the eldest girl she adopted looked damn cute in the previews, though i doubt i'll ever see this movie. Our next 2 weeks for movies are planned, and no one has shown interest in it heh. If i gt a date, maybe, but doubtful.

I think the eldest girl (the one you're talking about Chris) is the same girl that was the little girl in Remember the Titans... if anyone knows, correct me if I'm wrong. But she looked sooo similiar, just grown up... it distracted me throughout the entire movie.

Aw, this movie was adorable. I saw it tonight, and I loved it. Dan and Helen were so cute! Kate Hudson did a great job. I loved her character.

I loved this movie. While it wasn't as funny as I thought it would be, it was heartwarming, had great chemistry between the cast and an inspiring storyline. I loved Helen and Dan together and it was a lovely ending, but, I wish that she had decided to work back with Mickey again aswell.

I like Kate Hudson, Joan Cusack, Felicity Huffman but the movie didn't do much for me. Maybe they cast had me expecting too much
