We don't know that she's happy with Chris, for all we know she's just putting up a front because she's sure there's no chance with Luke. Her actions might say one thing, her facial expressions another...we're all too familiar with that after S6.
In the scene on the porch in the promo, they're laughing over picking Emily up at the police station. They're not giggling like a couple of love struck teenagers.....EPB at work. Remember him?
