It's difficult to analyze the past/future discussion about Reylo without wondering how much Jason actually does know, if anything, about their fates in IX. Like you said, that quote was pretty straight-forward, so maybe it is true that Rey saw his future instead of the other way around If so, I think it makes sense as to why he believed the truth about her parents would draw her more towards him.

I think it's referring to Luke's newfound sense of direction and determination to face Ben, knowing he can't necessarily change him as a person but he can have some influence over his nephew's future by standing in between him and the Resistance. Bridging himself between Light and Dark is symbolic of where Ben is standing, too. The Force restoring that balance within two people have been lost souls for so long. The same applies to Rey, too - their hand-touch guides her to somewhere new, and it reminds me of how the crew were saying that Rey would find answers to her belonging, just not where she initially thought it would be.


Luke's re-awakening, in many way, brought about Rey and Ben's awakening to the Force. It showed when R2-D2 woke up in TFA. The literal Light, switching back on.

Probably, I noticed that sometimes they keep the SW Databank very ambiguos, so maybe we might get some of the answers in IX

I pretty much love the SW databank analyses of the scenes. They tell you enough to hint towards foreshadowings and I've always felt positive about Ben Solo's redemption after reading them Even since TFA, when it said "he felt certain that their destinies were interwined... But how?"

Rey's choices and actions always somehow lead back to Ben Solo. I take that as no coincidence.
