And yer wrong! hehehe, how often can you say Paul's wrong? Had to do it. Here are the topics discussed:

CloneWars Cartoon, which starts tonight is first.
Original Trilogy on DVD, Sept 2004
First Trailer, Jan 2005
Movie, May 2005
1 or 2 possible TV shows, 2006.

Have fun everyone. Yes, that was original trilogy, though most likely the ultimate editions.

Are we sure it's the proper Original Trilogy, not the Special Edition?

Star Wars Trilogy DVDs in 2004
Fri, Nov 07, 03 05:21:51 AM EST

In a report at AICN, it was unofficially confirmed on Wednesday that the Star Wars trilogy would be released on DVD next year. Here's an excerpt:
This week, The Clone Wars, then the original Star Wars trilogy is being released September 2004 ...
One little fun fact - seems that they have TWO Star Wars television ideas floating around the ranch...one would be animation and the other - LIVE ACTION. These television projects would be in 2006. Let's hope they're better than the Star Wars Christmas Special, or those Ewok films.

It would be nice if it was the original trilogy, and then have it possible to add the new things to the story.

*shrugs* Either way I am SOO there to get it at midnight.

My bad, Original Trilogy on DVD should read Original Trilogy, Ultimate Edition, on DVD.

Yes, this is not the original that we all want, nor will they be the special editions, because he's already changed more since we've seen them all. These should be the fabled Ultimate editions that we've heard rumors about for some time.

Because they're even more special than the Special Edition!

In all seriousness, I think GL looks back on the SE at scenes such as Jabba The Hutt in ANH and realises something needs to be done. He'll touch up the SFX here and there, since technology has moved on since 1997, therefore they will be "Ultimate."

Well, that's my opinion. Feel free to disagree; I know Cryostar will.

Actually, that's pretty much it. You hit the nail right on the head Paul.

Things like the lightsabers from the vader/obi fight in ANH will be fixed. On top of that though, he's CG mapped all the characters, so the fight will supposedly be enhanced, with ben doing things that Alec Guinness would never have been able to do. There are also rumors that GL has filmed additional scenes to be put into the old trilogy.

I still think I'd just prefer the proper originals on DVD. *shrug*

Hahaha, that's a good one. I think we'll be happy regardless.

I want the same thing Paul, but you know what, George is going to do what George wants to do. And he's deemed that the Original, unmodified trilogy sucked, and his changes have made it better, so we'll only see those editions. Plus, he gets more money out of them.
