Sheida, ****. I didn't even think about it. Well in my defense I do realize that the movie is based off the comic books and not real historical facts.

Jerry, Except earlier you made me sound like a prostitute. I went to Celebration III, but I was only like 15.

I have already posted a bit (and been welcomed!) but I want to introduce myself formally:

Name: Jenny
Where are you from: Salt Lake City -- but I'm living in Syracuse, NY at the moment
Prequel or Original Trilogy: Gonna have to go with original
Favorite Star Wars Character: Han Solo of course!
Do you like the EU (Expanded Universe): Don't know exactly what this is -- but some more info on it would be nice. . .
Light or Darkside: Mostly light, but I like to dabble in the dark occasionally
Fav Star Wars movie: Empire Strikes Back
Fav Non-Star Wars movie: ooh, tough one -- Really, I have no idea. I like so many. I'm terrible at making decisions and I just can't decide!
Fav music group (All time or at the moment): I think all-time is the Beatles -- but whose isn't. I really like Nickel Creek.
What do you do with your free time: Read, write, cook, arts and crafts sort of things, listen to music, waste time on the internet, go on walks, daydream, etc.
Geekiest Star Wars thing you've ever done: I once watched all three originals twice every day for two weeks straight -- does that count?

Well there it is!

Twilight isn't about vampires, it's about teenagers with sharp teeth.
Vampires don't "sparkle" in the sun: they screech in horror, burst into flame and wither to ash.

Jerry, It's cool, I just had to do a double take on the whole "if we pay her enough" thing.

Sheida, I think there's something we can both agree on...

I was 12, it was the summer, and I had a large obsession with Harrison Ford (I also watched Indiana Jones an inordinate amount of times). But yes, I did . . .

Thanks for the welcomes -- so friendly!

I have a question about this Expanded Universe -- is it one series of books or many series? And where is the best place to start?

Welcome Jenny

I used to do something similar. I would watch one movie a day for a year, after school while doing my homework.

It's many series, but they're all interconnected.

As for the best place to start, I usually advise people to just flow with the chronology and start from the beginning (as far as the movies are concerned). In that case you'll either want to read the Jedi Apprentice books. However those are techically kids books (though I enjoy them) so if you want to start with the "older" novels at that place you might go with Cloak of Deception or Darth Maul: Shadow Hunter, both take place before The Phantom Menace.

You could also start in the beginning with the new Darth Bane novel, though I wouldn't recommend that.

If you'd rather start with the OT companions you might want to go with Shadows of the Empire, which takes place between the Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi.

I hope that was helpful.

Thank you, it was! I think I'll start where you suggested with the books before Phantom Menace. I've got some free time and I like reading series novels -- looks like I'll have plenty to go through.

Sheida - It's from "Gone with the Wind" -- classic Rhett Butler. I just love it! I actually need to change my signature - I've had the same one for 5 years+

Oh yes, I remember those days. I think I watched the Little Mermaid a million times. I never got tired of it.

Stephanie: Hi One year -- now that's commitment! Different movie everyday or the same one? -- because that would REALLY be a commitment!

No problem, glad to be of help. The Jedi Apprentice books are numbered so you'll know where to start. I really liked them, but they'll be in the children's section of the bookstore or library. The other two I mentioned should be in the sci-fi area. The novels have a chronology in the front so that should help you once you start.
