Sheida, this is the first place I've heard the rumors, and am personally thinking it's because she's in the news so much with the new Transformers movie. I have mixed feelings about a Buffy film. On the one hand it could be really great, but on the other it could be a complete insult. I get that the producers are only making it for money, but if I ignored everything that was only made for money I'd run out of fandoms pretty quickly.

My main reason for wanting to like the new movie is that I'm tired of vampire suddenly being synonymous with "boyfriend." And since the movie will not have Angel, hopefully she'll just kick butt.

I'd love to stay and catch up but I took a pretty nasty fall and hit the asphalt when I was running today it's just minor superficial flesh wounds but they're all over,my left knee,both my palms,my right elbow,my right shoulder and some on my right arm...Mom patched me up so I'm okay now but I need some rest...

You know if you go to Stephenie's site and the Breaking Dawn FAQ page she has a whole explanation of the biology of vampires and how Edward was capable of getting Bella pregnant.

EDIT: So after I posted I read her responses, and all I can say is "EW."

I applaud her for thinking things through, but at the same time she thought things way through.

I actually found her comments on feminism near the bottom more rewarding than those on science. I like that she addressed Bella's faults rather than ignore the complaints. Though she did not address my biggest issue, which has to do with Edward being all crazy and taking parts out of Bella's car.

After reading some of Karen Traviss's Q&A this morning I appreciate SM more. She may be a little off, but at least she's not a di'kut.

Yea Edward is abusive and controlling, especially so in Eclipse with the whole car thing and keeping Bella hostage in his home when he hunts. But Edward too is weak. His only reason to exist is Bella and he couldn't live in a world where she didn't exist. Forget that he has a family that loves him - no, Mr. Over-Dramatic wanted to kill himself.
Yes Bella has her weak, low-self esteem, push over moments but can also be manipulative. She has Edward and Jacob wrapped around her fingers. They've centered their lives around her.

You make a good argument, and I say that honestly because I'm one of those people who do think that the books are anti-feminist. I think Bella just stands out as being noticeably weak because she's a woman, so people don't notice that Edward is more pathetic. I mean, he left her in NM and even though she was miserable she kept living. He couldn't even do that much. I don't know how the Cullens put up with him for 100 years.

That's exactly what I was talking about. I'd rather someone be too attached and come off as bat**** (SM) than be all uncaring and cold about their stories (KT). It reminds me of something Tyra said on ANTM about how someone can be completely talented in something and have no drive or passion for it.

Exactly, people usually just focus on the female's faults that they forget the male has some too.

And he was totally selfish to put his family through that hell and grief.
One thing I disliked about Esme and the rest of the Cullens is how quickly they accepted Edward back after what he put them through. I would have been angry as hell with my "son" (or "brother").
