I agree that if there is a love triangle all parties must be aware. I'd also add they all must be single AND they have to act as human beings. (Not the completely unrealistic characters/triangle I read in a mystery series recently--the two guys both wanted to marry the heroine and didn't seem to have a problem with 1) her indecision and 2) the both of them being involved in all the same "family" events with her. Sometimes they would get so chummy sitting on either side of the heroine she would "feel like a Mike and Norman sandwich." :hurls:
Wow that's messed up. I also prefer it when the person being fought over knows which person he/she would rather have, so the third person is superfluous. Unrequited feelings, eternal pining. I guess I'm a sadist. The one love triangle I can't stand is Sawyer/Kate/Jack, because Kate is so fudging undecided that it's making the fans crazy. You should see the pairing threads on the Lost board, I'm surprised there haven't been death threats. It would be different if we knew something like, "well Kate loves Sawyer, but Jack is the kind of man she wants to love" (which is what I think is going on), but we don't know anything definite like that. It's like she's in love with both of them, which I suppose is possible but incredibly frustrating for the audience.

Be careful. Sarah Palin is my BFF. But you don't like the Red Sox, so you get a few points back. When you gonna tell me where you've been? If you say anything DisneyWorld related, I will cry.

You spoke to soon, Jerry. PM sent.

Hey Mariabear! How's your weekend? I'm so jealous, with you partying and traveling all the time, and not having to work.

p&w,
Actually the ships weren't the big thing for me when it came to Alias. I loved it for the Rambaldi mythology and Spy Daddy, and Irena

Jerry, why are you cutting down the tree?
We need a few trees cut down too....

Like Chuck and Ned.
I want Olive to get over Ned and find a nice man who loves her back.

Well, as I don't have cable and have to watch online...

Heroes, Chuck, Burn Notice, Smallville, Dr. Who, Samantha Who, Pushing Daisies and my friend let's me watch Stargate Atlantis on her DVR, and soon Sanctuary.

BSG isn't on right now, but that's another one I watch.

Stephanie I missed too many episodes to follow those storylines in Alias well--though the parts I watched were intriguing. How long do you think it would take Sloane to dig his way out??

I like Olive, but I can't see the show becoming Olive/Ned rather than Chuck/Ned. Chuck and Ned's love is such a huge focal point it just wouldn't work. Even though as a character I prefer Olive to Chuck I would probably hate it if they tried to make the show Olive/Ned.

That's still quite a bit. The only shows I really watch online are The Big Bang Theory, and True Blood. I like to watch TV shows on my coach, not my chair.

Maria....you know this calls for punishment! Is there a good reason why you neglected us? Hrm? Something you want to tell us? Huh?

Jimmy, completely agree, only two teams I dislike worse than the BoSox....1st on the list, is the Cubs....second, and very close second, is the Yankees.

As for sanctuary, I enjoyed this week, but Leah Cairns was in it to look at...but for a show that's entirely greenscreened...it needs work.

Kara, a Palin supporter....should have known. So the real question is, Kara, if I hadn't said anything, would you have sent it.

Steph, the first three was dead pine tree. It hadn't been green since early spring, and most of the leaves had fallen off. It was 23" round at it's base, so not so bad. Thankfully we had a ton of people there to make it quick. The other 3 trees were softwooded trees that were growing between 2 fences. They had to be taken down before they tore the fences. They were only 8-10" at the largest.

Juli, I kinda like Palin too...she makes me laugh....wait, that's Tina Fey. Sorry, I get them confused.

Twilight isn't about vampires, it's about teenagers with sharp teeth.
Vampires don't "sparkle" in the sun: they screech in horror, burst into flame and wither to ash.

I agree--I just don't have that option right now.

Also, I tend to go in spurts--two episodes here, another couple there.

Jerry - How dare you say that bout the Yankees. I have to disagree with the Cubs too. I was actually rooting for them once I accepted the fact my beloved Yankees wouldn't be in the playoffs which in it'sself sounds unnatural to me.

Hmm talk of TV makes reveal my list of shows I normally just watch now: Supernatural, Smallville, Pushing Daises, Heroes and now Sanctuary. Soon as Nip/Tuck comes back I will be watching that again.

Kara, these past two seasons of Big Brother sucked. Only highlight for me was Michelle and that's becauses she was a local girl. Yes I went to Disney World in May was suppose to go again with my cousin before classes started but plans fell through.

So I started my new part-time job at PetSmart today. It was awful, but I gotta make some money on the side when I'm not in school. Anybody have a really awful part-time job story to make me feel better?

I agree. Chuck and Ned are the OTP of the show because they have that whole we can never touch thing going on. And the growth of themselves and their relationship with that factor is such a huge part of the show. And I don't want them to carry on this triangle forever.

I used to babysit the most brattiest kid after school. He was abusive. He threw sharp toys at me.

BTW, you icon is all kinds of z

Jerry, sounds like a lot of work. Was your ankle up to it?

I'm not sure what that's supposed to mean. But yeah, I just love Tina Fey in Baby Mama, and the skits of her playing Palin is freaking genious. She does her really good. Aaaaand, I'm not sure if I would have sent it or not. I've been meaning to, just haven't gotten around to it until now.

Jimbo - So, you did go? Figures! Me and my sister want to go to Disneyland again in November, so we'll see how the flights look. And I agree about Big Brother, the cast wasn't too exciting this season. Although, I did like Keesha, and Jessie! Michelle was pretty cool too. So, what are you up to now? School, work?

Jimmy, man...you know it's true...when will George learn that his Maverick style of managing the spankees has done him badly. I understand that being a Maverick has gotten him a few pennants, but he needs to rebuild, get some great farm talent going again instead of trading it all away. He's like the Mike Keenan of baseball. Mike was a big Maverick too.

Steph, you know, I thought it was....but I was such a maverick and had to go all gung ho, walking in and changing everything around in the yard....I kicked the tree trying to dislodge it, then I realized, after kicking it, that maybe that wasn't the best thing to do. but you know, it's done, no more to do.

Sure Kara, but I know, you Maverick types...(can you see Canada from your house too?) you just like to take the hard charge and change things around. Now if only we could get Sarah to say things of substance....and not the same rhetoric....honestly though, she's a fun maverick to watch, such a vicious attacker.

Juli, did I mention Maverick in the post yet? Are you playing the drinking game yet? To quote Sarah (for you Joe six packs at home) "Maverick".

Ok, I know, that was obsessive, but it was a really funny skit on SNL.

Dude, the end of the SNL skit when she toasted to the Joe-Six packs, I just about died. Maverick. My friends and I joke about that, it's our new word. Did you see the interview one too?
