Maria - And just when I thought that I traveled a lot, you show me up and prove me wrong. I would love to go to Rome...so have fun. Sounds like you're leaving around the same time Alex is. I'm not...up to anything. Just work, and that's about it. So exciting...my mom and step-sister's birthday is on the 17th, so we might fly somewhere for the day once they decide where they want to go. My mom wants to go to Las Vegas, and my step-sister wants to go to California...so we're still deciding.

I surprise people all the time

My sister and I used to take ice skating lessons. (I was at end of grade school beginning of junior high.) I was never that good and was horrible at doing any of the moves. But I could skate decently and would have fun.
I haven't been since high school.
We went this afternoon and my goodness am I out of practice! I was back at square one I also fell and hurt my wrist. My left foot also kept cramping up and now has a blister too.
We'll go back again before April but I need sometime to heal and gain some confidence back.

I'll post some pics when my wrist feels better

I've always sucked at ice skating. I'm not the most graceful person in the world. But I can stay on my feet, and that's all that counts. Hope you can get back up to practice again though.

I survived the birthday party, barely....the girls were tired, and Gillian got the second highest score (an 8 year old did better, but hey, she's 8). Both girls were utterly exhausted when it was done. The best 80 bucks I've ever spent.

Sorry about your wrist Steph I used to be a figure skater back in the day for a rather short period of time but still haven't gone skating in years,because I grew out of my skates a long long time ago,I still love skating though they made a skating rink here in the central square of Helsinki, they rent out skates and sis and I were talking about going so we'll see

and yes I live to show you up on travel frequency Well I've never been,well actually I have been but I was 3 and I was just carried around,don't remember a damn thing from the whole trip so basically I've never been and not up to anything huh? nothing bad cooking while you're all alone there and Alex is even leaving the country My best friend was just in Vegas on her second America trip, she's coming again at the end of February, she has friends in Utah,she's actually planning on coming to work in the States...so any decisions on the travel destination yet?

Not much to report here,except we finally have snow and a small freeze and now that it's here I don't know if I want it anymore but atleast it's pretty and there's more light...

Sure, you were three...but that still counts, you've been there. And no, nothing bad cooking! I will be good, like always. What's your friend going to do for work here? I've never been to Vegas before...I've been to California now too many times to count. So, I wouldn't mind going there. But at the same time, I'm just worried I'm not going to have enough money when it's all said and done.

I'm tired of the snow too. I want the sun back.

Not indian burns......the idea is that you hold the wrist still, which forces your hand to move independent of it, which resets jams and muscle/tendon pinches. My wife gets them all the time.

It's been getting better each day.

The squeeze and rotate sounds painful. It hurts when I turn it too much.

and I plan to never visit a beach in Brazil.

Why not? Beaches in Brazil are great. In recorded history, they've only ever had 1 hurricane strike them.

FF's been realllly slow lately. I think the only time it's running "normal" is in the morning, IMO.

I've been working far more than usual lately. But I'm off on Saturday. For the "big game". Tehehe.
