I hate to say it, you almost need the x-box360 for the KOTOR games (much more powerful than original x-box that I have). I still hate how on KOTOR II during battles with a lot of enemies how there is "lag time" in the combat.

I don't know, I think my computer might be powerful enough to play those KOTOR games....

OK, GAME news! KOTOR ONES...

According to Computer gaming industry news from MCV - www.mcvuk.com

"Reports suggest BioWare is working on Knights of the Old Republic multiplayer online title.
Widely celebrated as the best Star Wars game of recent years, rumours have emerged that RPG specialist BioWare is hard at work on an MMO version of its hugely popular Knights of the Old Republic franchise.

CVG reports that the latest edition of US games print mag EGM includes the snippet in its Rumour section. No confirmation has been forthcoming from the developer as of yet, but were the game to emerge it would almost certainly be a sure-fire contender to better LucasArts’ previous MMO outing, the troubled Star Wars Galaxies."

Again, let us not forget that this is simply a rumor at this time. We will keep you posted as soon as we hear anything official.

"A source close to BioWare confirmed to us today that the studio’s upcoming untitled massively-multiplayer online RPG will be centered around the Star Wars universe, specifically that of Knights of the Old Republic, which the developer released in 2003. The game garnered critical acclaim and spawned a less-popular sequel, released by Obsidian two years later.

The game is being developed by the company’s Austin studio, formed in 2006 and headed by BioWare Creative Director James Ohlen, whose past credits include the first KOTOR, Neverwinter Nights, and Baldur Gate’s I and II."

What do you think? It maybe the first MMgame that I would actually buy and play!

I think that this is the 3rd time I've heard this rumor in the last 2 years, and they still haven't firmed up. As much as I want to get my hopes up.....I've been let down about this in the past, so I'll not get on the train until I see a press release. That probably won't happen until after Unleashed comes out.

Lucky for me, I never gave "Galaxies" a try.

However, this really interest me. I hope that it's

1. Affordable
2. Not as time consuming as a WoW
3. Entertainig

What! Who would pay that kind of charge Not me. I can live with 10 bucks a month and that's it. I mean we've already payed for purchasing the game...which will be what...50 bucks to begin with?

Apparently lots of people pay it. Look at City of Heroes. 30 to buy the game, and 20 a month to play it, and you can only play it online.

That's insane. If it must be done, I'm hoping for the Guild Wars model (although, how often are those updates that you have to buy?). I just never got into the whole subscription model :/

See, it's been so long since I've done online PC gaming of anykind, I have been "out of touch" with what people are paying. Last time I was online....it was for Diablo II Expansion and it was free to be online!

I think an MMO would be cool; but hopefully it'll be like Guild Wars...you know, when they don't charge you anything...

I think MMO has gotten so big and in demand though, they've shown that people will pay whatever they're asked to, just for the shot to play in their favourite universe's characters. Star Trek is more than likely going to be Subscription Based. The Stargate MMO is up in the air now.

If they want a monthly fee, it'll depend on how good the game actually is.

Anyways, I'm making one last run in KOTOR 1 with a Light Side "Tank" and my object is not to use hardly any force powers ( a lot harder than you think)

I'm going to do the same thing after that with KOTOR 2 and I'm going to use vibroblades/axes/swords instead of lightsabers...as much as possible, just for the fun of it
