Yeah, warranty covers it, but I'm not sure it covers shipping.

Apparently the problem is in the Screw length on the processor. The heat sync's screwed on with too short of screws, so the heat is dissipated quickly enough. There's supposed to be a way to fix it, but it voids your warranty.

I know what you're saying though. I think I might go with the PS/3 version.

BTW....as of this weekend, 360's are being marked down. 199 for the arcade, 299 for the regular and 399 for the elite.

I saw them selling special "cooling fans", etc. for the x-boxes. Is that something that a person should pick up as well?

I saw the "black one", the Elite. It's nice. I want it! But 400 bucks is a lot. Plus I'll have to buy a blu ray DVD player eventually, and it won't be able to double as one.

I know, that's the arguement that I'm having now. I'm not sure the cooling fans are all that successful in helping the system. It's 100 to add the wireless as well.

Well it looks like the black version "elite" is the way to go for me. However, I'm looking at it next year now...maybe. I was hoping to be able to buy it before the holidays, but I've got other things to worry about

(having a long distance relationship is fraking expensive)

I put pre-orders down on the PS2 and PS3 versions yesterday. I'm going to wait until later to pick up the PS3...but for now, I'll play it on the PS2.

Meanwhile, Lucas Arts has been running a fraking aggressive ad campaign for the game everywhere!

Sam Witwer's likeness is known to the entire world now, who knew!

I saw that the cheap x-box is now discounted to 299, but that's the one that you reported has all the troubles.

Yeah, that's the white box that's notorious for the 3 lights of death. You can get it, but just know that in the first year, you'll probably be shipping it back to microsoft to be fixed.

I picked up the PS2 version, I'll get the PS3 version later, when it's cheaper, and I have a PS3. I'm through the Kashyyyk and Tie Fighter Factory stages....Kota was a Pain in the A$$. I'm now in the special PS2 level, the jedi temple.

I wasn't going to spoil it for you, and honestly, I don't want to do a full review, because the PS2 version is so stripped down compared to the 360 or ps3 version. Some day, I need to get that PS3.

Let me ask you this, how cool was the exclusive "level" in the Jedi Temple at the beginning? Was it worth picking up for PS2?

Actually, the jedi level is revisited a couple of times, and it's ok.

You go the same way in for half of it, each time, and then you come to a big room with 3 different exits. Each time you come back, it's to a different exit. Darth Phobos is harder, though, compared to some of the others.

Also, the DH TPB doesn't tell everything, but it also tells more things than the game does.
