They'll stay that way, although we'll see male characters - I think there is one coming up with Rey that includes Finn. And for the dolls from the series a Luke w/ Yoda was shown at a convention and they also mentioned they're making a Kylo......so it seems very likely we'll also see them.

I have zero problem with some male characters as long as the focus remains on female empowerment which is how they sold the show to us

200% where its about time that their's some empowerment cause seems everything of the first two generations was 75% male - Yea we had strong related to Leia Padme was

But really really have loved this turn around related to Rey and Jyn so I'm loving forward to some deserved Female Empowerment

Of course males can be around too but female centered

Padme started out great in TPM - it's a shame GL couldn't write her better in the love story.

I liked Forces of Destiny Jyn better than Rogue One Jyn.

The show will definitely stay female centered.

I didn't care much for Rogue One in general because I didn't feel the characters were developed and thought they were bland and static. including Jyn. I think they could've made her a way more interesting character, but the whole "I rebel" thing was non existent in the film, really.

Yeah, they did. The movie was heavily edited, so it could've gotten lost in the re-edits.

I just felt like her character was rather static vs. what they hyped as her as. She really doesn't grow or change in the movie in any significant way. It was what they told us vs. what they showed us for me.

There's a video review on youtube by Jenny Nicholson called "Worst reasons you liked Rogue One" - or something to that effect -that sums up pretty well my problems with Rogue One. I don't always agree with her, but she nailed the issues with that movie for me.

I loved her in RO so not sure I'll agree with the video But I do agree that there is no journey for Jyn, she's already evolved into who she needs to be from the beginning of the movie, but I don't think that's necessarily a bad thing. I think Leia has a static character development journey through the OT, too, and remains the coolest female SW character regardless of that.
