I'd name my cat or dog Anakin but not my kid.

I would say seven at the oldest. He was blonde too.

I have to say Anakin is one of the better names from SW (besides the "earthling" ones like Luke), but I'm not sure if I would do that to my kid. I'd be afraid people would make fun of him.

Anakin is a very cool name. But I agree that that is some burden to put on a child.
He will so be made fun of. I mean sure kids are teased and it builds character, but the teasing of his name will carry on even into adulthood.

Now Luke is a name I'd give my son.

That's the thing, pretty much everyone has seen SW. He's going to go to job interviews and the employers will be all "seriously?" It'd be okay if it was subtle, like an EU name or something, but Anakin?
