I'm sure he could have gotten rid of him if he truly wanted to.

Here's what I don't get, why didn't he train Mara Jade as a true Sith Apprentice, b/c apparently she becomes quite the capable Jedi in the EU years later, so obviously she had some potential?

I don't know.

but Sid and Vader seem to have the longest Sith/apprentice relationship that I know of.
like a sick twisted marraige.

At first....yes, but he's tried to replace him before. Force isn't everything, and after a while, Vader survives by guile as much as force ability.

I can tell you, and after having ready the Jedi Academy trilogy, I can't believe you don't know the answer already....Mara was a woman. Sidious was two things, Xenophobic and Masagonistic (?). He would not have an alien for a true apprentice (remember, Maul was more of a tool than anything) and he wouldn't have a female for an apprentice.

That was kind of lost on me, but yes, very true. If you think about it, it really backfired on him, as Mara Jade is more than a capable Jedi Master in the NJO.

Also, not every Sith Lord was like Sidious...in the older times several had women as their apprentice, including people like Darth Bane, and Darth Malak.

Yes, that's four. What about the bounty hunter "bald chick" that used to be a Jedi apprentice to the Dark Woman in the SW Republic Comics? She never died. She's still alive in the EU? Aurra Sing! That's her name.

Well yeah, she killed several Jedi, and is quite the mercenary, and had the potential to be a powerful force user before she left the order.

She could be Ventress' long lost twin with that same look

You might want to trim down the criteria, especially since Night Sisters are Dark Jedi and there are like 3 dozen of them running aorund the EU.

And to be honest, Sidious was a horrible Sith master, he only rulled for 35 years before his death, there have been hundres of Sith Lords that ruled far longer than he did.

He nearly destroyed the Jedi Order, if it wasn't for Luke he would have ruled a lot longer? That would get you stoned at some TFN boards

That statement I mean.

Now...What is a Munn? That's the race that Plageius was? Anyone at least has a pic to share? I'm just interested to see what he looked like. Wait, is a Munn from Munnillist, aka banking clan looking people with the long thin face? Just wondering.
