Of course, the force created him, but did someone in some way effect the force, or command it to do so?

Believe it or not, I don't like endless speculation, rather have some answers. Maybe I should try and get that job at Del Rey

Ok, here is what I think.

A) Why did Sidious have an apprentice, because he needed a tool, someone to do his dirty work. Someone to take the flak and possibly die....not him. simple as that.

B) Force Sensatives during ESB?
C'Boath, Lumiya, the Dark Guard, Vima Da Boda, Streen, Cam Solizaar (?), any of the Inquisitors. I can go on and on, they weren't few and far between, just surpressed.

C) I don't think Sidious knew what Plagieus knew....he wanted to. I think Plagieus made anakin, but I think the Force twisted something in him, allowing him to be balanced, once again preserving the notion that there are somethings above even a Sith Master's knowledge and power. The Force allowed him to be dark, but also gave him a chance for redemption, and the power for good.

I agree with the last answer, and the list on your second one looks like the "a ragtag group with less force potential than Darth Vader". Not once candidate stands out.

I still want to beleive noone maipulated the Force to create Anakin.
And since it was said that Force is what is beign there's no dark or light side that's why Anakin was balanced.

But I may be wrong when an answer comes out in the EU or GL himself

I guess you'll have to take it on "faith" that Anakin was created by manipulation through the force, wheather that was a dark or light side it remains to be discovered.

As for that group....
One is a fallen Jedi Knight and 2 are Jedi Masters and one is a Master Sith....I wouldn't call that nothing. As for the inquisitors....well, I think they were purposefully left incapable in order to keep them in line.

The bottom line remains, that Sidious could not find a more powerful force user with greater potential than Darth Vader.
