We have several knowledgeable posters here that can answer your questions. Ask away, and give us time to respond to your question. Sometimes we can't get to them right away, but we will and when we do, know that we have a Sith Lord among us, so we are hardly ever wrong...but if we do...it's usually his fault

Were both of Anakin's/Vader's arms artificial? I know he lost one arm to Count Dooku, and Obi-Wan cut off his legs, but did he cut off his second arm as well, or was it the same arm that Count Dooku had cut off?

Both of his arms were artificial.

The arm that was left "intact" after Obi-Wan cut off both his legs, and his left arm, was the artificial arm that was previously cut off by Count Dooku in Episode II.

So he loses his right arm, below the elbow in Episode II.

He loses the left arm near the shoulder in Episode III.

Basically he's got no arms or legs below the knees from that point on.

Also if you watch when he trying to claw himself out of the lava pit, it's his mechanical right arm.

Thanks a lot Alex and Stephanie! No wonder Obi Wan said that Vader was "more machine than man now, twisted and evil," because it was true!
