Actually, Jerry, my comment about "how stupid white people are" was more because of placing the Aztecs in Peru and how racist it clearly is to say aliens must have built the Aztec civilization. Almost as stupid as…thinking Indians can turn into wolves.

Jon, to say white people are stupid is offensive. It is a generalization. You could have just said the writers of Crystal Skull were crazy to come up with such a story.
Ok time to get back on topic. Think we'll get an official Season 2 trailer (with sound!) at Comic Con? I would really like to see what is in store. |

If it were just Crystal Skull, I would say Lucas is stupid. I'm sure most of us here would agree with that. (Is Greedo blind?) But Trek used it in both the original series and Voyager, and there's a book by Erich von Däniken saying the same thing.

Jon, Steph is very correct. The idea behind stereotyping in that nature is that you cannot blame one ethnicity for the actions of a few. I know I would appreciate it as much as I appreciate someone saying that all Irish are loud-mouthed drunkards, of which I'm neither.
Steph, I'm betting that they'll have it at the panels, and we'll get it the Monday after SDCC is finished. It's usually how Lucas rolls in these events. __________________

Jon, nobody cares that you think the Indy 4 plot was racist (maybe it was), what bothered people was your comment about white people being stupid. Saying that would be the same thing as if I made an ambiguous statement about Indians. It's not okay, and what you said actually hurt my feelings. Nobody wants to be called stupid or blamed for something that they had nothing to do with.
And as for the werewolf thing, I honestly don't understand why you're so angry about New Moon. The idea of skinwalkers is based off of an actual Indian legend. While I do think that SM is a few french fries short of a happy meal, I don't think that she was intending to make any "unfortunate implication." Personally, I think you're giving her way too much credit by assuming that there's any sort of underlying message in her books. She's just not a good enough writer to practice intentional symbolism. __________________

Oh, someone was trying to figure out how a character in the movies could be ignored by the EU. (Namely, Jar Jar.) So I wrote a story about how he became Darth Darth. Mesa be findin yousa lack of faith muy muy disturbin.
