I think he'll focus on her fighting the dark side, because her interactions with Kylo are tempting when it comes to that. And maybe his plan is for her to be Kylo's redemption, or part of it.

That's totally counter to how Lucas saw things -to him the Force was the LIght Side and the Dark Side was just a cancr that had to be eradicated. That's what he meant be "Balancing the Force." Didn't know the meaning of the word "balance."

Yep, balance is both sides - sun and moon, yin and yang, day and night....
Not one side dominating the other or eradicating it. His idea of balance isn't what balance actually means. I've been hoping they would touch more upon "the balance of the force" concept and explore it more deeply and I'm excited by that prospect. __________________

I think they're doing that with the new trilogy. There's a lot of symbolism with Rey's outfits (starting out light and ended up darker) and the fact that Kylo struggles with the light side (as opposed to everyone else we've seen who struggles with fighting the dark side in them). And Luke seems to be in a very gray area mentally. I have a feeling we're gonna get this theme a lot, especially with Rey.
